a wonderfully relaxed and beautifully decorated family home We had a very warm welcome and felt at our ease immediately. It was a charming house and garden of character. Our first experience of staying in chambres d'hotes and it could not have been better. A highlight was having breakfast with the owners which did not happen again in the other chambres d'hotes we stayed in. All in all definitely 10/10

Have read some of the negative reviews and couldn't disagree more!! We stayed for only one night on our way back to Calais and can honestly say it was a wonderful experience. Our hosts were charming, friendly and helpful. We dined with them and another French couple and had a truly memorable evening - food was remarkable and the company stimulating. Well worth a visit and it goes on our list for places to stay again!! Oh, and the garden is wonderful!!

My wife and I spent two nights here. The first night we had dinner with the host family. The food was exquisite, delightfully served and exceptionally delicious. This family owned French Manor was a gem. Step back into the 17th century when you stay here. The garden is outstandingly beautiful. The hosts were warm and friendly and made for a warm stay. Thank you for many memories. Lyman and Janet Bradley

It was the second time we staid at the B&B and it was very nice. At first we were a little unsure because of some of the response we read on the site but for us it was more then we asked for. The people who open the B&B have accomplished big things and created an environment well worth seeing. Not only the garden and rooms but the all neighbourhood. The people use the B&B formula off sharing the breakfast together which gives the oportunity to share a history off knowledge with these people. The 11 century old part has been restored and covers an interesting history and is restored with lots of worth seeing. In the garen which they created themselfs and maintain therselfs there are all sorts of stories to be told and a lot of experiance to be shared for people who are able to listen and learn. No questions are left unanswerd and told with a lot off enthousiasm. Also about the history off the village there is a lot of knowledge in the family. The rooms are clean and big. I liked the Manoir more but my wife liked the Kessel Safari the most (every body his choice). You can also share the evening diner at the B&B which is home made and of good level and worth more then it's money. I'm sure we will go back. I would recommend this B&B to everybody who loves nature, silence, culture and or art. Everyone who loves one of these things and who is willing to listen to how these people have created there peace off heaven should pass by.

DEPLORABLE! OUTRAGEAOUS! The house is beautiful, a real museum. Shame it lacks warmth and heart, basically because held in hostage by both owners we can describe as sinister, unpleasant, arrogant, rude, haughty and who excel at making you feel painfully uncomfortable. You are "welcomed" by a warning not to eat fruits (or anything else) in the bedroom and to be careful not to spoil the bed linen otherwise you'll be fined over 200 euros! You are requested to wipe off the shower glass panel after each use and you are constantly reminded you are nothing else but an invited guest (true!...still a paying guest though!!!) and that this is their house. They claim they know everything and are superior in every possible aspect to the average human being, (i.e the customer!), and therefore don't accept any diverse opinion. Milady, a depressive and neurotic "artist" as she likes to call herself, doesn't hesitate to insult your country and ancestors and condemns a whole nation to doom because she had a bad experience back in the 60s. We are witnesses, not without pain,to her extraordinary hatred towards Spain, who knows why? If you are English and wish to have some tea you will have to undergo her boring and pedantic talk about Chinese tea and how much she knows about the sacred art of drinking tea and that the British don't have the foggiest idea about what a good tea is!!!
