"One of the best places to stay at Times Square New York!"

For a full filling stay in NY and in the centre , is what Holiday Inn is. It’s walking distance from the famous Times Square. Very close to pier 83 for a cruise to Statue of Liberty. It’s on 36 street and 8th avenue , close to Madison square as well. It’s a tall structure with a fantastic view either river facing or Empire State Building.

Overall we had a nice stay in this hotel. The rooms were larger than expected and clean. The beds were comfortable. Bathroom was okay with a good shower. Breakfast is included and okay for the price. However the breakfast room was too small to handle all the guests. So it could be busy. The location of the hotel is great: on walking distance (10-15 minutes) from Times Square, Bryant Park, and Times Square - 42nd Street Subway Station. There is also a nice bar "The Joyce ..." only a few hundred meters from the hotel. Two issues when we stayed: one of the elevators was out of order on two days, and on our last day the water supply failed for some time. Without these glitches it would have been a four-star rating.

Very welcoming on arrival after a long flight. Handed a welcome bag which is a nice gesture. Staff are lovely, especially Michelle the front of desk manager,,,, We have never laughed as much as we have in this hotel, you couldn’t write it if you had too.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Our 1st room was on the 9th floor which is ok but not this hotel the lifts are very small and I felt very claustrophobic, but was moved to the 2nd floor the day after which was good,,,, so we thought,🤣 On entering the room there was a large crack in the bathroom sink, the phone didn’t work and most of all the safety deposit box didn’t work…. We told reception and Lexon a lovely young man came and replaced the box, sealed the sink and got us a new phone… Also the long mirror fell off the wall, was stuck up with blue insulation tape.🤣 The day after when using the stairs the FIRE ESCAPE ROUTE, the door was jammed and wouldn’t open,,, guess what???? Blue insulation tape again.🤣🤣🤣🤣 Myself and partner went to reception and spoke to Michelle the front desk manager she was lovely very apologetic and listened to everything we had to say…. We were returning back to this hotel 9 days later for a further 2 nights before flying back to the U.K. Michelle told us that she would sort everything out for us and not to worry,,, On returning we were greeted by Michelle who was apologetic once again and told us that the water was out in the hotel and our room wasn’t ready, We waited for a while then Michelle relocated us next door but 1 to the Hampton hotel,,,,,, Thanks again Michelle for everything you did for us you go above and beyond,,,,,👏👏 This is a IHG hotel part of the Hilton group but definitely not the HILTON.. This was our 5th time in New York ,,,, But next time will be going back to The HILTON MIDTOWN….

Excellent location Service was good Only one elevator working A 10 minute walk to Times Square Stayed 4 nights and everything was okay, The breakfast area is a bit small for everyone, but other than that I had a pleasant experience in this hotel

Comfy big bed. Bathroom ok with Dove products. Noisy big air con unit. Can’t close the curtains as they are just there to dress the window. Staff helpful. Housekeeping didn’t come til late afternoon on the Friday & Saturday. Ran out of clean towels on the Saturday but they took the ones away that we had before telling us. However as it was our last night, we made do with the one bath towel and hand towels they left. Bit chaotic at breakfast as it is a pretty small room. However breakfast is ok. Plenty to keep you going. Toasters were a bit dodgy as people keep putting bagels in them then they get stuck. All plastic cutlery and paper plates. Lifts weren’t the most reliable. Quite often only one working. Able to leave luggage the day we checked out so that was handy. In a good location for walking to many sights and handy for the subway.
