"Sad they cut parts of the movie."

Saw the Wizard of Oz show. Nice show but very disappointed that they they cut out several parts of the movie. People spend a lot of money to see the show, they deserve to see the whole movie. For example, when Dorothy and the others enter the Wizards palace. They cut out their visit to the spa where all four of them got a nice spa treatment. They also cut out the part where the Cowardly Lion sings his big song "If I were king of the forest. " Thats not all, but those 2 examples are very nice parts of the original movie. Sad that they got cut.

We went to see OZ at The Sphere, which did not disappoint. Being a true part of the movie was incredible from the initial storm, apple throwing, poppy field, flying monkeys, and scenery that is eye-popping and so clear, it is amazing. The acoustics and effects are over-the-top, and it is always going to be a great memory that floats to the top of most things I have seen. I would have to say the only downfall of The Sphere was the exorbitant cost of everything inside. For example a small bottle of water was $7 plus tax! Outside The Sphere at another location in Las Vegas, I had purchased a very large bottle of water for $2 plus tax. I felt the ticket pricing was fair considering what we saw there as unique as it was, but a break on the simplicities of water and snacks should have been a slight "thank-you" from The Sphere for its attendees. I do recommend attending this show at The Sphere, but be sure you eat and drink ahead of time. You might spend just as much inside at the show as you did for the ticket to get in!

We saw the Wizard of Oz and the show itself is great. The low grades I have assigned are based upon the lack of thought applied to getting to, and more importantly leaving the sphere. 1st - The monorail doesn't stop at the sphere it doesn't even come close. So your choices are car service or walk. From the strip it's probably a 30+ minute walk through the entire Venetian and then down the elevated walkway. 2nd - when you are leaving the walkway to the Venetian may be closed. This dumps you out onto uneven streets/sidewalks/ramps you are basically traveling in a herd crossing streets packed with cars. Las vegas seems to be a city that has -0- planning. The monorail is great, but it doesn't go to the airport, the sphere, or Fremont street. Extending the monorail could go a long way to making Vegas more connected.

The Sphere is a one of kind experience! We used Lyft to get there from Planet Hollywood and it was great. Literally dropped us off right at the entrance. The entry process went smoothly and fast. We were there to see the Wizard of Oz. We sat in section 407 and it was perfect for viewing the whole screen. The remastered movie was vivid and the special effects were outstanding! I highly recommend seeing it.
