The current special presentation of the digitally re-mastered Wizard of Oz is truly unforgettable. The special effects, including a simulated tornado, a snow fall, falling apples, and rumbling seats made this experience incredible! From start to finish the color of the sets and costumes is like you have never seen before. This may well be the best show in Vegas!

Absolutely loved this and we had an amazing time. We sat in 306 block which is great of you want an apple. The special effects, especially the tornado was brilliant. We had easy access using bridge from Venetian which takes you straight into venue. The same again, leaving the venue was super easy.

Excellent show Sat in the God's level 400...perfectly good seats. Steps to the seats were a bit daunting but managed ok Only draw back was allowing late people in up to 20 minutes after the show started which was very disruptive!

The Sphere did a wonderful job with Wizard of Oz. It made me love the movie more than ever. Everyone working today seemed happy to see us and only too happy to help with seating, directions, info. It's a quality operation. Pro Tip: If you sit on the aisle in the side section of 300, you will pay $100 less for your seat than the guy three feet away on the centre section aisle.

We attended The Wizard of Oz 5:00 pm show on Wednesday, September 24th, and were very disappointed. Although the sound, picture, and special effects were very well done, the experience was overshadowed by the amount of effort it took to gain access to the venue. There was poor crowd control and poor communication. When we bought the tickets, the instructions stated that The Sphere could be accessed directly from the Venetian hotel and casino. Since the instructions also stated that the doors would close promptly at 5:00 p.m. and that no one would be seated once the show started, we planned to arrive early to make sure we knew where to go and then planned to gamble for a while until time to head to the show. We arrived at the Venetian by 1:30 p.m. and began to search for the jet bridge, instead we found multiple ceiling signs stating that All Access to The Sphere Must Exit through the Palazzo onto Sands Blvd and make a U-turn. So, we followed the signage, exited the Palazzo and followed Sands Blvd towards the Sphere. We got to the convention center and all doors were locked, so we continued until we reached the fenced Sphere. All gates were locked. We finally saw a security guard who said the gates would not open until 3:15. We waited outside in the heat from 2:00 until 3:15, when the gates opened. Then, we found out that the doors to the Sphere would not open until 4:15 p.m. As my wife uses a cane and could not walk up the stairs to the second level, we ended up waiting in a handicap line for another hour. The venue finally opened at 4:15 p.m., where there was a mad rush with everyone trying to find their seats (ours involved taking four escalators up) and queuing for refreshments. I do not know why the lobby did not open earlier to allow time for the purchase of concessions. We went up the four escalators and found our seats right away. It was very disappointing to find that they did not close the doors at 5:00 p.m. as promised. The movie started exactly at five, but they continued to allow patrons to access their seats, which meant that we had to stand up at least four times to allow guests to pass, so we missed most of the first few scenes of the film! In conclusion, incorrect information, poor crowd control, and inadequate time allowed for obtaining refreshments and accessing seats, ruined the experience for us. The event was not worth the high ticket prices.
