I thought the event of the Wizard of Oz was a great event. I loved it. I’ve always loved the Wizard of Oz. But I thought for the price you pay it was very expensive. We did the bad witch experience which meant a shorter line and some hors d’oeuvres. That was nice, but I probably would not do that again just too expensive. The merchandise was really nice very nice in fact, but also very very expensive.

The Wizard of Oz at The Sphere was an incredible experience and worth every penny. To participate in a feat of engineering with a Tornado, Falling Apples, Flying Monkeys, and beautiful butterflies, with the spectacle in front of your seat, was breathtaking. The colors, the sounds, were like being in the land of Oz myself. Innovation is balanced with nostalgia and sounds, sights, and all the feels. Do not miss this show!

"Great show; bad preshow experience"

The Wizard of Oz show is a 10 out of 5 star event!!! I’d go again and get the same seats (section 205 row 20 inside aisle). I was not impressed at all, however, with the organization leading up to entering the show. The ticket information clearly stated we could not enter until 4:15 for a 5 show so that is what I expected. We walked to The Venetian early as we were starting nearby. We had planned to scope out where exactly to go then play a couple hours while waiting for time to enter. We followed signs to The Sphere in The Venetian and a security guard guided us out the back door and told us which direction to walk. We still expected to get to the bridge we heard led to the venue. Well, the bridge was closed until after the show and we didn’t know. Neither did many others who were also directed to walk outdoors on a sketchy road. Thankfully we ran into a kind person who had been to the venue before. She asked the security guard at the gate we were near what was going on. He didn’t know but did let us into the cool hallway an hour early. Still no restrooms, no place to sit, no water to drink. Had we known the bridge was closed we could have planned differently. At least post a sign!!! It was nearly a 20 minute walk back to The Venetian if we needed anything. The person managing the crew at the entry for the show was condescending and rude. There was no empathy towards the crowd who had unknowingly been placed in a bad situation. When we departed the bridge was open and the walk was easy. I did see even in the bridge there were no seats which seems a shame for those who can’t stand a long time waiting to enter. All that being said, I would go again. I would opt for a cab closer to showtime though.
