"Great location but overall disappointed."

My wife and I went there for 4 nights to celebrate our anniversary. Checkin was easy. Our city view room was clean and spacious, and the king-size bed and pillows were very comfortable. The room had a mini-frig, but there was no coffee maker. The restaurants in the hotel, including Hash House and Chayo Mexican Kitchen are great The hotel’s location is excellent for walking to places on the southern end of the Las Vegas Strip. As for complaints, the room’s air conditioner was extremely noisy. There is no way previous guests or housekeeping could have not noticed it! We reported it to guest services. Later that day (10 p.m.!) a maintenance guy came and replaced the entire unit! To the hotel’s credit they fixed the problem, but it should have been done before we arrived. Other reviewers have questioned the $50/day resort fee for a resort with no outstanding amenities compared to the Bellagio and Venetian. Also, their casino is small and nothing fancy. Another complaint is that the free Wi-Fi is only for 2 devices. We had 2 phones and 2 tablets, but we refused to pay $30 per day for our additional devices. But our biggest complaint is the noise from their large pool area. We have no problem with a party atmosphere. Note that their pool is not limited to hotel guests. The problem is that there is either a DJ or a live band performing during pool hours, and they were extremely loud all day long! Even though our room was on the 12th floor, because it overlooked the pool it was impossible to take a nap and rest before an evening on the town. If we had known about the noise issue, we would have stayed elsewhere, probably at the Flamingo right across the promenade.

"Not a good experience"

Terrible customer service, mold in bathrooms, rude staff. The pool was dirty and definitely not welcoming. Lots of trash around. I do not recommend this hotel and certainly will not be staying here again. There are far better choices that would be far superior for I’m sure similar or less rates. Research your options!

"Nice enough to sleep but not worth the price"

The pros: The room was clean and bed was comfortable. The location is right on the strip near Harrahs. It has the high roller which I didn't have time to do. It also is right on the promenade which I did enjoy. There's alot of restaurants, bars and plenty to do. Be sure to check out Minus 5 Ice bar. Everything in there is made of ice, even the cups they serve drinks in. Cons: Im not one to cause a fuss and will stay just about anywhere. I even chose no cleaning required during my stay to not be a bother. This resort is not even remotely close to the same experience you'd get at a nicer resort like The Venetian, The Bellagio or even the Flamingo! These other places have beautiful gardens, waterfalls etc worth just walking through their resort to see. There's nothing to see at the Linq! BUT, they still charge you a resort fee of $50 a night. My 4 night stay including this fee was $275 a night. To me, it's not worth that price! While I tried to dispute this, they didn't care. When I told the desk clerk that I wont stay here again, he said all of the resorts charge this fee. Again, if I'm going to pay an extra $50 a night somewhere, it better be NICE! The other major problem was their parking situation. You have to access their parking from the rear. There's no access on Las Vegas Blvd. You may think thats not a problem if youre traveling without a car but it is if you plan to go on any tours outside of Vegas. Theres nowhere for a bus to pick you up because big buses cant get in The Linq. You will have to walk to another larger resort. In my opinion, if I have to do that and pay a resort fee anyway, I might as well stay at a nicer resort!

Dark inside hotel areas. House music distasteful. Our Strip View room was noisy. Didn’t like having to pay to check in early. Front desk reception staff weren’t friendly. Bell Staff /area (luggage storage) were excellent. The hotel rate was inexpensive.

"Good location - let down by extra fees for everything"
TripAdvisor user rating 2.0 out of 5
Reviewed April 12, 2025 NEW
The hotel was okay, the beds were comfortable, the room was basic but clean and quiet, and the location was great. However the resort fees are an absolute rip off. I understand it's normal for hotels in the US to charge resort fees now, but it's difficult to see how the Linq justifies a resort fee of $50 per night when they provide nothing for the money. Only 2 devices per room get complimentary WiFi, even if there are 4 guests per room, with fees being charged if you want to add more devices. There weren't even bottles of water provided. The room also would have benefited from having coffee making facilities as the options nearby are very expensive. The resort fee just felt an extension of the hotel price with nothing extra included. Charging extra fees to use the WiFi when a $50 resort fee is being charged is very poor value for money and made us feel like we'd been ripped off, which is a shame as the location was great and the hotel was otherwise fine.
