Description
Savannah is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Founded in 1733 by James Oglethorpe, her charm still reflects his vision; rows of neighborhoods built around squares.
Today life oaks dripping with Spanish moss, magnolias, and palm trees fill these twenty-two squares. And, along with the stately houses and beautiful places of worship, they speak of the times gone by, while still reflecting the vibrant city she is today.
As the evening rolls around, Savannah takes on an added mystique. With the busy part of the day over, there are hints of what's to come.
Come join us on a stroll through the heart of the Historic District. We begin at Johnson Square by discussing the City's founding, and the continue her amazing story for about ninety minutes as we pass through some of her squares, before we end at Forsyth Park.
Along the way, we will discuss history, homes, and maybe a local urban legend or three. All in all, it's a great way to start your evening. We look forward to seeing you.
Our tours are Monday through Friday, starting at 6 pm. We meet at Johnson Square, at Bull and Congress Streets.
