Frequently Asked Questions about Sunset Celebration Cruise

Is parking provided?

The Tropics Boat Tours recommends using the Clearwater Ferry and parking for FREE in Downtown Clearwater if you are joining the tour during their operating hours on Thursdays - Sundays. This service offers fast and efficient travel across the water, avoiding the traffic on the bridge and the parking on Clearwater Beach. Due to the popularity and development of Clearwater Beach as a tourism destination, parking on-site is limited. There are great options for parking on Clearwater Beach but none of them are guaranteed as they all fill up on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Other Parking Options:

North Beach Parking Garage: this parking option is located on the Northside of Clearwater Beach, at about 15-minutes' walking distance from the tour location. You will receive a ticket as you enter the garage and pay the fee when you leave. The tour partner is not able to validate parking there. Pier 60 Parking Lot: this parking option is located directly West of The Tropics Boat Tours, at about 2 minutes walking distance from their location. You will need to pay for parking after you arrive and place your receipt on the dashboard of your car. The tour partner is not able to validate parking there. Surf Style Megastore & Hyatt Regency Garages: these parking options are privately owned and located just South of The Tropics Boat Tours, at about 5 minutes walking distance from our location. You will receive a ticket as you enter the garage and pay the fee when you leave. The tour partner is not able to validate parking there.

Are there restrooms on board?

Yes, restrooms are available on board for guests' use. Please keep in mind that these are marine heads. Please note any signage in the restrooms regarding what may be flushed down the toilets.

Is the tour appropriate for children?

Yes, this is a family-fun tour.

Is the tour wheelchair/stroller accessible?

Yes, the ramp is wide enough to cater to most wheelchairs. However, if the wheelchair is wider than 22" the wheelchair will not fit through the lower deck threshold. If so, wheelchair guests may be confined to the bow (front) area of the boat. This is considered the best seat in the house.

Can I bring my camera?

Yes, lots of great photo opportunities.

How long is the tour?

The tour's duration is approximately 2 hours including boarding time.

Can I bring my own food/beverages?

Unfortunately, you may not bring food on board. Light snacks and beverages are available onboard for purchase.

Can I bring my pet?

Pets are not allowed on board unless it is a service animal.

Is the cruise wheelchair accessible?

Yes, the ramp is wide enough to cater to most manual wheelchairs. However, if the wheelchair is wider than 22", it will not fit through the lower deck threshold. In that case, the wheelchair guest may be confined to the bow (front) area of the boat, which is considered the best seat in the house. Another option is if the guest has some walking ability, they can collapse the wheelchair, as the first seat on the inside lower level is just two steps from the threshold. When boarding, wheelchair guests board last for prime seating on the bow. The crew is not permitted to lift wheelchairs or any mobility equipment. The Catamaran is NOT accessible to Power Chairs. They are too heavy and create an unsafe environment for the customer and crew during boarding.
