"NEVER AGAIN! Nasty room. Unhelpful clerk. Manager either not notified of problems or just didn’t care."

Arrived early, room not ready. Told it would be 4:00 or later. Checked at 4:20. Room still not ready and told it might be 5:00 or later as short staffed. My husband is a 100% disabled veteran and our grandson is special needs. I was told that no other room of the type I reserved was available. I asked for a free upgrade. We were sent to room 320. It was the type room I reserved. There were crumbs on the floor around the table. I wanted to fix my grandson’s nutrition. The outside of the microwave was very greasy so I wiped down using water only as no dish soap was in the room. When I opened the microwave I found a potato sitting in a bowl of water!! The best things about Sailport Waterfront Suites were the view and the pool.

"POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE"

So, they say customer service is everything; first impressions ect…….. I had made a reservation with this hotel several weeks ago, right and around 6pm yesterday, I called just to confirm my reservations and to ask if early check in was available. It went something like: Hi Ma’am, How’s your day going; I have a question well maybe two; can you tell me if you see me coming in next week? She asked for my name and then asked how may I help you; I then asked again, do you see me coming into your establishment for next week; She then stated how may I help you………I was like are you going to acknowledge that you see my reservation or what…..very aggravating to the point of, I just changed my hotel booking to another location…….She came off as I was interrupting her and what ever she was doing outside of this phone call….Just Sorry And Sad Poor Customer Service……..they just lost a loyal customer for a 10 day stay geeeeze

"Great views, good location, new furniture needed"

Great views, good location if you have a car, nice poolside bar/restaurant. The food was quite good and fairly priced. The pool is small but heated and the beach area is great for catching some sun and having quiet time. The bed was ok at best, the furniture was very old and beat up-definitely in need of replacing. Our room needed a deep clean-dusty furniture and cobwebs with bugs in the corners by the slider and the bathroom floor tile looked like it was in need of a good cleaning. The kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans, utensils and dishes however, other than one lonely pack of dishwasher soap, no means to clean any dishes or mess. The exercise "island" is silly-if you want to advertise that you have a place to exercise, please make it a room out of the elements and not in the middle of the parking lot. Overall, a good place if you don't spend a lot of time indoors and have a car to get around.

"Nice & quiet"

A little dated, but very clean. The grounds are kept up nicely. Small pool but heated in winter. They do have a nice deck in front with lots of chairs to enjoy the beautiful sunsets. There is a little restaurant on site and the food is not too bad. Our only downside was there was no place to walk & we love our daily walks. Yes, you do have to drive everywhere.

"Good and bad"

Strong pros and cons to this property. Location great. Views are beautiful. Decent enough restaurant at the pool. Cons Filthy. Mold. Dirt in corners. Urine around base of toilet. Ask for housekeeping, get told none that day but in list for tomorrow. Tomorrow comes, told again no housekeeping. This is not just a hotel. It's condos, leased units, air BNB and rooms run by Sailport. You may see a maid but most likely not employed by Sailport. Great for daily excursions to St Pete, Tampa, Clearwater and Fort Desoto. Definitely rent a car. Nothing in walking distance.
