Description

Step right up for aquatic fun you won’t find anywhere else! Inside the 46,000-square-foot Aquarium at the Boardwalk, one of Branson, Missouri’s newest attractions, you’ll be mesmerized by an undersea journey through the ocean depths. Experience up-close views of colorful fish, sharks, seahorses, octopi, and more. You’ll find plenty of entertaining activities, too, like choreographing the colors in the jellyfish infinity room as you watch these bioluminescent beings and climbing through a kelp forest play zone designed especially for kids.

A larger-than-life giant Octopus sculpture greets you at the front door. It’s modeled after Aquarius, a giant Pacific octopus, and one of the Aquarium’s exclusive characters. Inside, stroll down the boardwalk and explore ten zones of fish and fun.

Take a 5D submarine ride to the bottom of the ocean, guided by Aquarius the Octopus and Finn the Pufferfish. Surround yourself with the sea as you walk through a tunnel right in the heart of the Aquarium and into a sunken ancient city. You’ll be thrilled with sightings of a variety of sharks and all kinds of uniquely striped and patterned fish as they swim circles all around you.

Get a vast view of a gorgeous coral reef, teeming with tropical marine life, and catch a final glimpse of the sharks and rays that come gliding overhead. Discover a magical underwater palace where heroic mermaids safeguard the ocean’s coral reefs, and marvelous coral species that create a home for so many treasured animals. Take some time to watch as fish travel in and around the corals and peek through the nooks and crannies of their colorful forms.

Plan your visit for fish and fun at Aquarium at the Boardwalk!

This place is very clean, well staffed, and lots of fun for the kiddos! Buy your tickets at the front desk, get your picture in front of a giant octopus, then journey through an underwater adventure! The fish tanks are very clean, nothing is leaking on the floor. There's a 5 minute 3D 'underwater sub' ride that whisks you away to explore under the sea with a couple of friendly characters. A touch-tank is also available towards the end of your journey, where you are allowed to touch sting rays, star fish, and anemones. Restrooms are available just after you have your picture made.

Wonderful aquarium! There were several features geared for the kids. Though it was just us two “old folks” visiting the aquarium, we had a great time. We didn’t really get a good look at the octopus. As the guide was saying….”she was taking a nap”. She was snuggled up against the wall of the tank. The 5D ride in the”submarine “ was pretty cool, definitely worth the experience….just a little bumpy. All the tanks were beautiful, especially the larger ones, which had several small sharks, sting rays, different fish species, and in the one large tank, some divers. They were doing daily maintenance. The smaller tanks really had some beautiful and colorful fish. One of my favorite displays, were the jellyfish. Their tank was surrounded by mirrors, which really made an awesome display! This was definitely worth the visit. A great experience for all ages.

Cons: The girl at the front who gave us instructions about no flash photography and not tapping on the glass was a bit rude she made a disgusted face looking at my children (who were well behaved and listening to her instructions) when saying to not tap on the glass. The 5D experience only has one seat for children under 4, otherwise they have to sit in a stroller. Our 2yro wasn’t allowed to sit by himself so my husband and him had to miss it. So for the cost of tickets and not all of us getting to do it was a con. Pros: The gift store staff were really nice. The overall experience was pretty good. My boys really enjoyed it. Both touch tank staff were very informative and friendly. The garden eels were adorable
