Description

Step right up for aquatic fun you won’t find anywhere else! Inside the 46,000-square-foot Aquarium at the Boardwalk, one of Branson, Missouri’s newest attractions, you’ll be mesmerized by an undersea journey through the ocean depths. Experience up-close views of colorful fish, sharks, seahorses, octopi, and more. You’ll find plenty of entertaining activities, too, like choreographing the colors in the jellyfish infinity room as you watch these bioluminescent beings and climbing through a kelp forest play zone designed especially for kids.

A larger-than-life giant Octopus sculpture greets you at the front door. It’s modeled after Aquarius, a giant Pacific octopus, and one of the Aquarium’s exclusive characters. Inside, stroll down the boardwalk and explore ten zones of fish and fun.

Take a 5D submarine ride to the bottom of the ocean, guided by Aquarius the Octopus and Finn the Pufferfish. Surround yourself with the sea as you walk through a tunnel right in the heart of the Aquarium and into a sunken ancient city. You’ll be thrilled with sightings of a variety of sharks and all kinds of uniquely striped and patterned fish as they swim circles all around you.

Get a vast view of a gorgeous coral reef, teeming with tropical marine life, and catch a final glimpse of the sharks and rays that come gliding overhead. Discover a magical underwater palace where heroic mermaids safeguard the ocean’s coral reefs, and marvelous coral species that create a home for so many treasured animals. Take some time to watch as fish travel in and around the corals and peek through the nooks and crannies of their colorful forms.

The Aquarium on the Boardwalk is a great experience for adults and children. We purchased the 5 Pack tickets that got us access to The Aquarium, Hanna’s Maze of Mirrors, The Hollywood Wax Museum, The Castle of Chaos and the Starlight Mini-Golf. We had a great time at all of the attractions.

"Nice, clean, flashy aquarium"

Probably the flashiest exterior in all of Branson! Very nice, smaller aquarium. All indoors, you walk through various rooms with nice displays. Very clean aquariums, pretty well labeled. Stingray touch tank, large walk-through tank and a very cool jelly fish "mirror and light" room. $36 seems a bit high, but if you have kids there are lots of displays for them and things to do. The short 3D movie was fun, but might be kind of rough (shaking seats) for smaller kids. We just walked up and bought tickets at the door on an early Dec. Wednesday. Bring your camera!

"Worth a visit"

The Branson, Missouri Aquarium is absolutely worth a visit! The timed entry tickets are a great idea to minimize crowds, making it easier to fully enjoy the experience. The facility is spotless, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Every exhibit is thoughtfully arranged, clean, and teeming with diverse sea life. Highlights include the “kelp forest” climbing area for kids and adventurous adults, interactive touch pools where you can feel stingrays, sharks, starfish, and anemones, and a charming photo op at the start. The gift shop at the end is a fun touch for souvenirs. A movie/ride at the beginning is a delightful way to start the tour, but it’s optional if you’d rather skip it. The octopus scavenger hunt added a layer of excitement—we found all but one on our first loop and had to go back to complete it. It’s a nice bonus that you can go back through as much as you’d like (as long as it’s before closing). The one-way path through the aquarium ensures you don’t miss anything, but one improvement could be better signage. Some tanks only have a few species listed, even though there are many more inside, and one section even had an incorrect sign. Overall, this aquarium is a fantastic experience for all ages. The mix of interactive activities and stunning exhibits makes it a place we’d happily recommend!
