Knowledgeable guides will help you fit your gear and brief you before each experience. Ziplines feature a dual braking system for your safety: the primary system is a manual friction system that allows us more control over the stopping distance and location for each guest, and the secondary system is the ZipSTOP automatic braking system, which engages and assists the stopping effort for each guest. Both systems are connected to the same brake trolley, allowing for a safe, consistent, and integrated braking system.

On our most recent trip to Kona, Hawaii, our party of 4 adults, 3 of which never ziplined before, participated in the Umama Zipline experience. It was definitely well-worth the 2 hour drive to get there. The surroundings were absolutely beautiful and well maintained. The entire staff were extremely friendly, professional, and helpful. The entire experience was efficiently coordinated and organized. Special kudos to our Zipline gurus, Michael (great jokes that put us at ease), Wes, and John. They were an awesome team who provided expertise and fun - we were assured of our safety!! It was an amazing experience to view the waterfalls, ocean, trees, and fields as we soared through the sky. The 3 Zipline newbies are hooked and would definitely do it again. We highly recommend this exhilarating experience with Umama on your next trip to the Island of Hawaii! Mahalo to the team!!
