Staybridge Suites Fairfield Napa Valley Area, an IHG Hotel in Fairfield, CA

OUR STAY WAS AWFUL! 😢 I rented a two bedroom suite have a small sleepover for my 15yr old niece. I chose this location because we wanted a place door pool to add to the fun. Upon arrival I overheard front desk telling another customer that the pool was having a maintenance issue, but soon to be ready. After we decorated the room, I asked the front desk if everything was ok with the pool. The nice lady at the front desk said “Yes! It’s good to go.” So we headed down to the pool, used our key to get in and started out in the hot tub. No one was there, but eventually a lady and her two daughters came in and got in the pool. We realized that we didn’t have towels and so my niece went to grab some from the front desk. That’s when we were told that the pool and hot tub should have been closed because they were unsafe to be in due to the pool being shocked because the numbers were off! 😳 We couldn’t believe it! We had been swimming around being contaminated for at least 20 minutes. We immediately got out, and of course we are all itching now, due to physical and/or mental disturbance. A different employee brought the rest of us towels and said that hopefully the pool would be open soon. (This one was not as nice. She was short in speech and never apologized. Seemed irritated at our questions.) We all immediately showered. Around 8pm, she knocked on the door to say we can go back in. No thank you. Next issue, had to do with the ants and the bugs and stains that were on the pull out bed (that we actually needed). We then had to cram in the beds. BUT, before that, there was a strong smell of SOMETHING coming perhaps through the vents. My niece had to go pick up an inhaler for my other niece due to the intensity. At this point I was over it but it was late, to change rooms and redecorate. When I called the next day, I was met by the same , not so nice worker, that we dealt with the day before. She was not accommodating, offered very little in compensation, pretended to waive a “cleaning fee” (due to disposal of garbage), because since I was complaining she needed to have something to say, claiming that we had a excessive of trash. Which was not true at all. She then hung up in my face when I told her that I wasn’t satisfied with what she was offering. It seems to be, according to other complaints, that the pool is an issue. If you are choosing this hotel for this purpose, want to be treated with respect, or not have ants or mysterious bugs in your room, DO NOT BOOK HERE. I’m so disappointed. Was definitely excited to find this place. Due to the exposure to the chemicals with no sign or warning, deciding what further steps I should take.

Dated rooms, curtains are torn, handle for closest fell off. Pool was gross, staff kept hounding us because we had a guaranteed Late Check out. I am a Diamond elite IHG member for over 20 years. First time I was treated poorly by staff. Back to Intercontinental for me!

This hotel is neglected and Run Down. Needs a major remodel and all new management and staff. There is significant deferred maintenance. Minimal staffing. Housekeeping available approx 0900-1630. The manager does not work on their busy weekends. We had to make our bed on day 2 of a 4 nite stay. I would like to see Health dept inspections and E Verify data.

The front desk staff are so friendly; the breakfast gal overworked - she needs help. The rooms/suite are adequate, a bit tired. It is a big drawback that they only clean every seven days - not even every other day refreshing. So disappointing. The breakfast oatmeal bar is sad. Ice cream sundae peanuts on oatmeal. It is rather disgusting. What happened to walnuts or almonds. And, there is no choice of nondairy milk for any of the cereals.

No housekeeping past 7pm but some how I still had the best service I’ve received from a hotel in a while the front desk employee Moe was so friendly and helpful, everything I had problems with he fixed within minutes never had to leave my room brung everything I asked for very quicker then places I’ve stayed with housekeeping. Will 100% come back
