Scenic 15 to 20-minute flight over Alcatraz Island, Angel Island, San Francisco skyline, Richardson Bay, and Sausalito.
Learn about the Bay Islands and their history from your experienced pilot.
Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to scheduled departure to check-in.
Helicopter tours fly with 4 to 5 guests grouped from multiple reservations. Passengers booking fewer than 4 people will be paired with other guests.
There is a per-seat weight limit of 240lbs. Passengers over 240lbs must purchase an additional seat at time of booking.
Departs and lands at the Commodore Heliport in Mill Valley, next to Richardson Bay. Complimentary parking available on site.
Infants ages two and below can fly on their parent's lap at no additional charge.
Bring your passport or government-issued ID for validation and your camera/smartphone for pictures!
All flights are subject to cancellation for severe weather, which the pilot will determine up to 30 minutes prior to scheduled departure.

Best Birthday Flight! So happy I decided to celebrate my Birthday with Aero Adventures! Thank you Marylee, Anna, John and Ren for making the day so special. Nothing can compare to flying over SF and the Golden Gate. I have sailed under the Golden Gate but there is something truly special SOARING over the Golden Gate! Aaron is a terrific pilot, host. I've lived in Marin for most of my life, yet learned so much from him about history. The views were, of course, dramatic, but Aaron's voiceover and piloting skills were the magical glue. Highly recommend.

Beautiful flight in a beautiful Beaver. It was windy when we flew and the pilot did an outstanding job. I highly recommend it to anyone. We did the North Coast tour a d even saw some whales.

This was so much better than I had expected. From booking the flight to the actual experience. Everyone was so friendly and helpful! Mary Lee welcomed us as if we were family. I took my dad for his 80th birthday. He forgot his coat (if you go, you should bring a jacket), so Mary Lee immediately helped us get a sweatshirt with no delays. There were six of us total and what a great day! My 79 year old mom almost didn't go because she was nervous about climbing into the plane but Aaron the pilot along with Renato (Ren) made her feel safe and secure as she boarded and de-boarded. They were awesome! Up in the air, the views were incredible, Aaron shared the history of the Bay with us over the headsets that we were available for us on the flight. I've lived in the area for over 40 years and I was surprised at the tidbits that I didn't know. If you've ever thought about riding in a SeaPlane, don't delay! It was seriously a blast and a lifelong memory! Thank you Mary Lee, Aaron and Renato - we had an amazing tour and thank you to Ann (for all the helpful email correspondence)!

My flight on Sunday was awesome. As a native of San Francisco, I was very impressed with Aaron's local knowledge. Also, being a commercially rated seaplane pilot myself, I was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the operation. Aaron's piloting skills are extremely impressive. Overall, Seaplane Adventures was "over the top" in terms of fun and safety!

How long is the Alcatraz City Sites Helicopter Adventure?

The helicopter adventure lasts approximately 15 to 20 minutes.

How early do I need to check in for my flight?

Please check in no less than 30 minutes prior to scheduled departure. Flights depart on time and will not be held for late-arriving parties. Please note that refunds will not be issued for missed flights.

Is there parking?

Yes, complimentary parking is available onsite.

Is there a weight limit for this helicopter tour?

Yes, the max weight per helicopter passenger is 240 lbs. Anyone who exceeds the limit must purchase a second seat at time of booking. The max total weight limit for the entire group is 750lbs.

How many people can be on each flight?

A minimum of four and a maximum of five people can join the helicopter flight.

Are children and infants allowed on helicopter flights?

Yes, children and infants are allowed on board. Limited ear protection headsets are offered, so it'll be best if parents bring noise-cancellation headsets or earplugs for their infants. Infants ages two (2) and below can fly for free but must be seated on parents' laps.

What happens during inclement weather?

All flights are subject to cancellation for severe weather. Safe conditions for flying will be determined by the pilot up to 30 minutes before the scheduled departure. Canceled flights can be rebooked for up to one year from the original scheduled flight.
