SkyWheel is the newest and most exciting attraction located at Pier Park in Panama City Beach. It is a full entertainment venue featuring an 18-hole miniature golf course and the prestigious SkyWheel observation wheel that stands nearly 200 feet above the area’s premier shopping and entertainment destination, Pier Park.

Your flight begins when you enter one of the 30 fully enclosed, climate-controlled gondolas. Open all year, you are always sure to enjoy a relaxing and comfortable flight, no matter the temperature outside. It’s one of the best things to do while you’re on vacation!

"Stunning Sunset Views"

My wife and I rode the SkyWheel Ferris Wheel at Pier Park at sunset. The price was a little on the high side, but the views of the sun setting over the Gulf of Mexico were worth it! The gondola was comfortable and climate-controlled which is a must. If you’re at Pier Park at sunset, definitely consider taking the wheel up!

The Skywheel had a great view and had other activities for the kids as well, such as Jenga, putt putt golf, etc. We had a great time here after supper.

"Mini golf not good"

The mini golf is not a good experience. To start, the woman that you pay to play is very unfriendly. When I tried to pay, she rudely let me know that it was a card only establishment and cash was not accepted. What kind of business doesn't accept cash? After I paid with my credit card, we went out to the course. It was at this point that I felt very ripped off. The price was 15.99 to play. The course was in horrible shape. Aside from all the debris on most of the holes, the carpet on a lot of the holes were well worn, faded, and torn. It certainly was not worth anywhere near the cost to play.

"Stopped at the top A/C went out & sketchy experience"

The sky wheel first of all is overpriced. Went around 4 times with 2 adults and a kid it was almost 70$ we went at night so we really couldn’t see anything anyway. Stopped near the top and I thought it was normal until the A/C cut out, and the radio. I’m sure the help call wouldn’t have work at this point, so I’m not sure it’s safe. Additionally the people in front of us seemed to want off after the first round, making this more sketchy. I wouldn’t do this again.

I recommend doing the SkyWheel. Our family of 4 did it. It was very hot when we went, and thankfully each pod is air conditioned. Beautiful views and not a very scary experience. Makes for a great memory.

We enjoyed our ride, but wished there was more than 4 turns before having to get off. We went on a cloudy day but still enjoyed the view, plus it wasn’t crowded. Staff is nice and helpful.

If you plan on riding the skywheel in PCB try to time it out to be on it during sunset! The views of the sunset up top of the Ferris wheel are absolutely stunning! Crew at the skywheel greeted us with smiles and were friendly. Only thing is I wish the photo packages were a bit cheaper. I probably would have bought ours if they had been more affordable. Overall a great experience

Once upon a time Panama City Beach had an observation tower. The Skywheel is a modern-day replacement that offers great views. Cost is $20 for adults and lasts 10 minutes. Each car is air conditioned and I had a car to myself. Nice for a hot day.

"My Family Loves The Views"

My family & I have ridden the Sky Wheel many times and for us the views never get old. Latest visit was over the July 4th holiday. My daughter & her 7 year old went with me. Every time they visit my Granddaughter insists we ride the Sky Wheel. Upon arrival we were able to immediately buy our tickets and only had a five minute wait to get on the ride. The Sky Wheel stands approximately 200 feet tall. The views from the top provide spectacular views of Pier Park, the City Pier, the Gulf and the surrounding area. The cabs are air conditioned making for a must needed break from the beach. They also have an 18 hole mini golf course and a rope climbing area on site. Open daily. Competitively priced. Plenty of parking. Located directly across from Dave & Busters in the middle of Pier Park.

We rode SkyWheel one evening in late April. No waiting at 7:00 PM. Seats are enclosed and provide excellent views of Pier One Park and surrounding area including the beach. Nice gift shop and snack bar on site. Would advise going at night if possible. A little pricey but unique experience.

There is no weight limit per person. Each gondola can hold up to 1,300lbs and fit a maximum of 6 people.

What is the temperature inside the gondola?

The gondolas are temperature-controlled—heated and cooled to always be a comfortable experience for passengers, no matter the temperature outside.

What happens if I need to get off while the wheel is in motion?

All gondolas are equipped with a call button in case of emergency. With a simple push of the button, the operator will descend you to the unloading area as quickly as possible.
