"Unsafe bike caused me to have serious accident"

Reviewed October 06, 2024
I have a cast covering my arm and two broken bones in my wrist as a direct result of renting a bike from this company on 1 October. The bike had totally inadequate brakes. I could not slow it down sufficiently on a steep descent and came off trying to make a corner. I am a highly experienced rider. Their defective brakes were the sole cause of this. The company has so far totally failed to take responsibility, claiming the bike “passed their safety standards” which is either a lie or they have no such standards. They offered me a free bike rental. I will never ride with them again. Mistakes happen. But people need to take responsibility. This company has not done so. I am unable to drive, cook, type etc due to their failure.
