"Mouse in the house"

Not a pleasant stay first night thought I seen a mouse wasn’t because it was late and I had been traveling all day and wasn’t sure if I was tired and seen a shadow or something running across my floor…. what I seen in the morning confirmed my suspicions had a mouse in my room… I got out of that room immediately never again

"Good location but in need of a facelift."

Having read many reviews I was a bit concerned about staying at this hotel. Yes, it’s tired looking but was adequate for our 3 night stay in San Francisco. The location is great, the bed was comfortable and the towels fresh, our room could have been cleaner but for the little time we spent there it was fine. The games room was fun but only one functional pool cue, all others were broken, fire pits were good but free smores only available one first night despite paying $35 dollars resort fee every night.

"Not what I was expecting"
TripAdvisor user rating 2.0 out of 5

The hotel was nothing like the pictures! I wouldn’t consider our room as a “premium waterfront view”. I guess that’s what you get when you check in early. The room needed to be cleaned, the curtains were old and dirty and the shower didn’t drain at all. I had to have someone come and fix the shower. The only nice person who worked there was the lady who handed out the s’mores kits! She was so friendly, outgoing, personable and kind! The rest of the staff seemed bored and ornery. Would I come here again? No, it wasn’t worth the money and with as much as I paid for the stay you’d expect what was advertised. Unfortunately, with what happened and no apology, and no offer to reimburse part of my stay, I won’t be recommending this hotel.

"A hidden gem in San Francisco!"

I was in SF on business and was recommended to book a hotel near Fishermen Wharf as hotels prices are more competitive in this area than in the city center, especially when there is a conference going on. Found Zephyr hotel by chance, and was happily surprised with the athmosphere, super nice staff, great patio, the mix of guests (families and business people). Things I absolutely liked: the decoration, unbeatable location, the patio with fire places going on in the evening, the games room(s), the set up of the bedroom, and of course the more than competitive prices. Things which could be improved: The bathroom (a little old), the lack of bar or coffee service (would make a huge difference to the hotel) and the gym which is rather under equipped. I was there for 5 nights and nearly felt on holidays, despite being on a business trip.
