Description

The Pearl Harbor Remembered tour is an exciting journey through one of the most important events in American history. It starts at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center, where visitors can explore interesting exhibits and watch films that explain what led up to the attack on Pearl Harbor. The center also displays photos and personal items from that day, giving a real sense of what people went through.

Next, visitors take a peaceful boat ride to the USS Arizona Memorial, which is built over the remains of the battleship that was bombed during the attack. This part of the tour is very moving, as visitors can pay their respects to the 1,177 sailors and marines who lost their lives. Park rangers give talks and answer any questions, helping to explain the history and the impact of the attack.

The tour continues with a visit to the famous battleship Missouri, also known as "Mighty Mo." This huge ship is where Japan officially surrendered, ending World War II. Visitors can walk on the deck of this powerful battleship and learn about its role in history, including its service in the Gulf War. The Missouri is now a museum, offering a chance to experience the impressive size and strength of this iconic ship.

Finally, the tour heads into downtown Honolulu, where visitors can discover Hawaii’s rich history and culture. This part of the tour focuses on Hawaii's time as a kingdom and its journey to becoming a U.S. state. It’s a great way to learn more about Hawaii’s past, from its royal family to its statehood.

This tour is perfect for anyone who wants to experience history up close, see famous landmarks, and learn more about Hawaii and America’s past. It’s an experience that is both educational and deeply meaningful.

Trip was extremely well organised and run, smooth operation, exactly on time and as described. The guide was excellent, knowledge and entertaining especially when armed with his ukelele! Definitely worth booking and ample time to visit the museums.
