Description

From the creative team behind the Tony Award-winning In The Heights comes a wildly inventive new musical about the scrappy young immigrant who forever changed America: Alexander Hamilton.

Tony, Grammy, and Emmy Award winner Lin-Manuel Miranda wields his pen and takes the stage as the unlikely founding father determined to make his mark on a new nation as hungry and ambitious as he is. From bastard orphan to Washington's right-hand man, rebel to war hero, loving husband caught in the country's first sex scandal to Treasury head who made an untrusting world believe in the American economy, HAMILTON is an exploration of a political mastermind.

George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Eliza Hamilton, and lifelong Hamilton friend and foe, Aaron Burr, all attend this revolutionary tale of America’s fiery past told through the sounds of the ever-changing nation we’ve become.
Tony Award nominee Thomas Kail directs this new musical about taking your shot, speaking your mind, and turning the world upside down.

This show is approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, including intermission. Recommended for ages 10 and up. Children under the age of 4 are not permitted in the theatre.

It is a good show but not commensurate with the wave of hype it is surfing on. The dramaturgy in my opinion is not very skillful.

"Amazing show top notch but seats too close together"

Amazing show, wanted to see for years and delighted we got seats during this vacation. Even though we had not read anything or listened to any music before had we both loved it immediately and would come back to see it again. Top notch singing and dancing across the board, highly recommend this show. I’ve deducted 1 star just because of the seats in this theater were sooooo uncomfortable as the rows are far too close together. We we’re is row S on the orchestra level and for 2 x $249 seats my knees were up at my ears as the seat in front was too close and I had no where to put my feet. My partner had the aisle thankfully so could stretch a little. So be prepared as being so squeezed in does spoil the enjoyment a bit.

"Pretty much perfection. Highly recommend reading "Hamilton: The Revolution" before seeing the show."

The artists, the sets, the musicians for this show are top notch. This is one of the best shows I've ever seen on Broadway. In my title I suggest reading "Hamilton: The Revolution" before seeing the show. The stories of Lin Manuel and his team creating this show are incredible. There are little easter egg homages to the artists who inspired much of the music. I think I appreciated what I witnessed more before I knew all that background.

"Stellar and Creative"

We had been wanting to see this much-touted play for a long time, and finally secured the tickets for it. The wait was worth it. We had listened to the soundtrack over and over again, and watched Lin Manuel Miranda’s interviews on TV, but seeing the play live on stage was really a next level experience. The Set was perfect, the music (and especially the Rapping of historical moments) was fast-paced, the choreography was brilliant and innovative, and the production was stellar. Everybody was talented, but the actors playing Hamilton, Burr and Angelica were fantastic, and stood out for us. Their voices carried far, and their songs will stay on in our memories. The renditions of “Shot” and “The Room where it Happened” gave us gooseflesh. Just WOW…! The Play really did bring history to life. If you haven’t already, please do read about it before you go. It will help in the understanding of what is happening on that stage. I will join the thousands of people in highly recommending this “once-in-a-lifetime” phenomenal experience.
