Hotel is smoke free and room was amazing. Adrian checked us in. He was super friendly and got us in to a very nice room with a view of Bellagio fountains. Room had small kitchen, living room and separate bed room. We were able to use Aria pool and workout facilities which are state of the art. It’s in a great location connected to Bellagio, Aria and Cosmopolitan hotels.

I booked a last minute weekend trip to go see a show in Vegas and the Vdara Resort & Spa was the perfect place to stay! I flew in early on Saturday because I was able to secure an early check-in in advance. This allowed me to settle in by noon and go enjoy the Aria pool for a few hours before my show. This is hotel is centrally located on the strip so it’s easy access to anything and everything. I was able to walk in heels easily over to the Cosmopolitan for a quick photo shoot by the Chandelier Bar and then go to my show the Chelsea Theater for a ton of giggles! The biggest perk of the Vdara is there is no casino and you don’t have to navigate your way back to your room through slot machines and tables! The room was beautiful, spacious and very clean. The bathtub is amazing and kitchenette is a game changer. I had the option to secure a late check out because I didn’t fly out until Sunday evening, but I chose to do a kayaking tour instead. The RiverDogz tour picked me up at the Aria Bus Tour area and I spent the whole day on the Colorado River. I was able to keep my luggage in storage until I was back at 5pm and then I made my way to the airport to head home. It really was the perfect weekend trip! Overall an amazing experience at the hotel and every member of the staff I interacted with was wonderful! I will definitely be booking my next trip to Vegas at the Vdara Resort & Spa!

"Pros and cons of the Vdara"

We chose Vdara because it’s a smoke free hotel without a casino, and booked a stay-well studio. We wanted a quiet place to retreat to, and Vdara delivers this. We paid for early check-in and were given a stay well suite, which was a wonderful upgrade. Upon entry, there was a single bathroom and washer and dryer, as well as a kitchen and table and four chairs. There was a living room with a couch and two chairs, a separate bedroom and another full bathroom with double sinks and large tub. We heard no noise from anyone and we overlooked the highway/mountains. There’s a few things Vdara should change or improve upon. Their kitchen comes with nothing in it. There is a sign which says to call if you want plates, utensils, pots, mugs, etc…. We definitely wanted pots and mugs and plates and bowls, and I called for them and was told it would be 20 minutes. I was very tired and needed to take a shower and get to bed, but wanted to wait for these items to be delivered before I got settled in for the night. It took four calls, and two hours later, I got these things delivered. I had wanted to make a small dinner and have a cup of tea, but couldn’t because it took so long to get the items brought to our room. Vdara, please just keep the kitchen items in the kitchen, or have housekeeping deliver in a more timely manner. Not tell me 20 minutes…..and two hours later bring them to me! Also, we got locked out of our room because the emergency latch somehow engaged when the cleaning lady got done cleaning our room when she left. She didn’t know. It just happened. I had to find housekeeping on our floor and let her know and she called security. Someone came quickly with a hanger and was able to unlock it for us to get in. The shower door also got stuck and I wasn’t able to get out of the shower. My husband was able to open it for me. But if he wasn’t there, I don’t know how I would have gotten the door to open to get out! It never fully closed for the rest of our stay. A bit disappointing and chilly while showering! We thought housekeeping would have fixed the door each day after, because it wouldn’t close. But that never happened. So we had to use the shower with the door propped open. Also, I noticed people swimming in a pool from our hotel window. The elevator wouldn’t take me to the pool, level three wouldn’t light up. I went to the spa instead to inquire about why I could not access the pool, and the attendant told me the pool was closed. I saw a family in the Vdara lobby returning from the pool immediately afterward. I asked them where the pool was. They told me the Aria pool was open. Why didn’t the spa attendant know this? That is the pool I had seen people swimming in. I finally found it after walking over to Aria and up their escalators . I was told that the pool was closing in 30 minutes, at 4:00 pm! It was hot out. Why couldn’t the pool remain open longer? Also, there were two pools open, and the closer one looked lovely, but I was told I couldn’t use that pool, I’d have to keep walking and use the next pool, which was crowded. I managed to find a seat and got in the pool to hear an announcement that the pool was closing. I was upset I wasn’t “allowed” in one of their pools. We work hard all year for a vacation. There also was a Builders Convention while we were staying at Vdara. Apparently 130,000 people descend upon Las Vegas for this yearly convention putting hotel prices at a premium in Las Vegas. The price for our room dramatically increased for two of the nights we stayed during a 5 night say. The price went from low one hundreds to over 500.00! We didn’t think this was right or fair to charge someone who chooses this hotel for vacation purposes, in contrast with the companies footing the high priced bill of those traveling for business. When my husband brought this to the attention of the woman who checked us out, she was robotic and didn’t care whatsoever. I then told her I had forgotten something up in the room after we had checked out, and she pointed to the line and told me other people were waiting. I left feeling upset because I wanted to retrieve my personal item, but had an Uber waiting and a flight to catch. It was as if I didn’t matter at all as a customer/ guest. I felt so bad about this. It makes me hesitant to ever book here again, even though we liked the quiet room. One last thing, the furniture was very worn. The couch and chairs need to be replaced. They are itchy and faded. The brown couch is not pretty at all to look at or to relax on. I was hoping for more of a wow factor on my first trip to Las Vegas. Overall, Vdara is a good place to rest your head, their beds are comfortable, the pillows were perfect and it’s a smoke free hotel. The room was clean and it was easy to get back and forth into the room. Very convenient to the strip, Although not directly on the strip. It’s a nice thing to be able to walk to the Bellagio and Cosmopolitan from inside with the connecting hallways (although very long hallways). If you’re deciding to stay here, just don’t book during a huge convention. Vdara will take advantage and raise the nightlyprice by a lot! I’d like to stay here again, but hopefully by then, they’ll have new furniture and color-scheme (ditch the brown, add some color!)

"Disappointing"

Very disappointing. First time my wife and I been to Vegas. I heard good things about Vdara, we booked with the hotel because of this. We got into the room there white substance on walls and the window sill. Refrigerator did not work and was broken. Housekeeping did not come to our room two of the four days (we did not have the do not disturb on the door) The tablet that was suppose to show on the events, food etc did not work and the TV was angling off the wall. Those were the major items. I did call the front desk the TV was fixed next day and did bring up a used Fridge and put in the kitchen. Other little things but this were high level items. If you go to this hotel take photos and tell front desk immediately.

Bait and switch? We booked a very expensive hotel and couldn't believe how inexpensive the experience was. We came to Vegas for a conference and the over-flow hotel lacked in so many ways - service (are they even aware / awake?), signage to get out (it is the furthest back hotel for the Aria complex of Aria, Cosmo and Vdara and no easy way to the Strip), and function (over half the outlets in the room didn't work). There were just silly things that made no sense to us, especially at over $1,000 a night. Such as, no slippers, no q-tips or other things in the bathroom, one shower mat for the long bathroom and having to chose sink vs shower, and did I mention most of the electrical outlets didn't work? Again, at $1000 a night, I expect more, like the block out curtains to actually black out, the mini bar not to be completely empty, a bottle of water or 2 at any point during the stay, anything in the kitchenette for it to function as a kitchenette, like a spoon or a plate, or lightswitches near the bed. As for the service, what should one expect at $1000 a night hotel? Not the cleaning staff sitting in the hallway outside our room through-out the day gabbing or watching videos on their phones that we can hear while standing by our window, bringing us a bath mat when requested or or the front desk being a bit peppy. Why didn't you say something, you may wonder? Well, I went to the front desk to say something and JP couldn't even look up from his screen. When I asked him if he was too busy, he said no, he was listening. When I said, you aren't looking at me, he said he was looking at his system. I was really trying to be nice and not ask to speak to the manager, and well, based on their training I don't think they care either. No, will never stay here again. They don't care about their patron's experience and so I don't expect any improvements.
