Next, we made our way to the botanical gardens and Waimea Falls. At the entrance, we simply showed our Luau tickets to gain access. The trail is well-maintained, paved, and accessible for wheelchairs. The lush vegetation surrounding you is stunning, and it's the perfect spot to take plenty of photos at your own pace. We walked down the path leading to the falls, where you can opt to swim if you'd like, though we decided against it that day. There are changing rooms by the falls and a large restroom at the entrance. Bleacher seating is available if you'd like to sit back and watch the falls or people enjoying the water.
As we made our way back toward the entrance, it was almost time for the Luau, so we waited for the gates to open. Upon entering, we were escorted to our table, given a fresh lei, and briefed on the evening's activities. I highly recommend taking part in the activities prior to dinner—they’re not only fun but also informative.
After dinner, the show kicked off. We had a fantastic time, especially enjoying the MC's entertaining mix of humor and insightful commentary. The performance featured a talented group of dancers and five drummers, and the traditional dances, each accompanied by their own stories, were captivating. The fire dancing finale was particularly exciting and truly lived up to the hype!
