"Not sure I like the refurb."

This was our 2nd visit to The Pelham and sadly it was not good as we remembered. The refurbishment has left the reception looking quite dark and dingy. The bedrooms are no longer as nice as I remember either. We were welcomed nicely when we arrived and can’t actually fault any of the reception staff. They were all very pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately my husband noticed some small blood stains on his bed sheets - we had 2 queen beds, so we had one each - Then I noticed some on mine a few days later. The maid changed the bed as soon as I asked and they were now clean and fresh. They didn’t seem to be from the start though, which is disconcerting to say the least. The area around the hotel looks very shabby and the road had a huge hole in it! There is no room service and only a small selection of snacks to purchase from reception. We’d definitely book somewhere with more facilities next time as we didn’t feel we were getting value for money. One positive thing you can say about The Pelham is its location, it’s brilliant.

"Another great stay at the Pelham"

Stayed at the Pelham Hotel last year for the Mardi Gras parades the weekend before Fat Tuesday, and was able to travel to New Orleans again this year, this time for the Mardi Gras parades 2 weekends out. Perfect location near everything, great rooms and the friendliest staff, just like last year. Love that 90.7 WWOZ is playing in the background throughout the hotel and it's on the radio in each room. That's the best station for NOLA music and more. The good times will roll again, and when that happens, I'll be staying at the Pelham Hotel.

"Great Stay with Historic Charm and Prime Location"

We had a fantastic stay at The Pelham Hotel in New Orleans! If you’re looking for a boutique hotel with character, a prime location, and modern comforts, this is a solid choice. The Good: • Perfect Location – Right on the edge of the French Quarter, so you’re close to the action but away from the all-night noise. You can easily walk to Bourbon Street, Jackson Square, the Riverwalk, and Harrah’s Casino. The St. Charles streetcar is also just a short walk away for easy access to the Garden District. • Charming, Historic Feel – The hotel has a beautiful old-world charm with high ceilings, exposed brick, and classic decor. It’s got that New Orleans vibe without feeling dated. • Comfy Rooms – The bed was super comfortable with soft, high-quality linens, and the room itself was very clean. • Mini-Fridge & Coffee Maker – Unlike some boutique hotels, The Pelham provides a mini-fridge and a Keurig coffee machine, which was great for storing leftovers and enjoying morning coffee in the room. • Daily Housekeeping – Our room was refreshed every day, which was a pleasant surprise since many hotels have cut back on this service. • Friendly Staff – The front desk team was always helpful and happy to offer recommendations for food and attractions. • Good Water Pressure – After a long day exploring, a strong, hot shower was much appreciated!

The location is perfectly located above the Ruby Slipper - no ques for us! The rooms were spacious and full of character - the radio on as you enter the room playing jazz was much appreciated and ensured our excitement for the live music that awaits! Many bars and restaurants, I particularly enjoyed Sneak Pete's, great little dive bar for a cocktail or beer before you head out.
