"Great hotel when visiting the World War Museum"

We booked a package deal through Costco which included breakfast daily, tickets to the World War Museum and a rental car. The hotel was very clean. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. It was the perfect location to get to the garden district and French quarter(we walked to both). We spent majority of our days at the museum and then explored the rest of the day. We got upgraded to a king suite which was very roomy for the two of us. Great bathroom with a separate shower and tub. Breakfast was great, had lots of options. The beignets were not to be missed. Only reason I did not give 5 stars was the air conditioning was placed in a location that the air hit you right in the face while you were sleeping. At times the service was slow in the restaurants/bar. Both would not deter me from returning. We had a great stay and the museum being right across the street was very convenient for us . One last tip. The parking garage for the hotel is literally next door(shares with the museum). It is not connected to the hotel but all you do is walk out of the garage and you turn right into the hotel. It was super easy.

After reading the reviews I booked this hotel to celebrate my husbands birthday. He is a “WWII Nerd”. Upon arrival, e both noted the beautiful lobby. We were excited to start our mini-vacation. At check in our greeting was glitchy, and not at all friendly. We headed up to our room which looked impressive at first glance. As we settled in I started noticing the well worn and stained towels, mold and hair around the shower, the non-functioning tub faucet, and other maintenance issues. I tried to reach someone through their app’s chat feature, but never received a response. I did receive a welcome text and replied to that, but again no further contact. We were only there for 3-nights and I didn’t want to make a big deal of it and totally ruin my husband’s birthday. We enjoyed the museum very much and I just wanted him to have a good experience, but I am surprised at the lack of upkeep at this “Curio Collection” hotel.

Great hotel, feels like you are staying at the WWII Museum, with all of the beautiful and historic decor throughout the hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful as well. Fitness center has a good amount of space for a property of this size. Definitely recommend.

Great hotel! Very clean. It's a bit far from the French Quarter but we were able to walk it every day we were there. There is a street car that would have helped but we never rode it. Parking is in the WWII garage. We enjoyed room service and also breakfast at the hotel's restaurant. Try their beignets! Seriously. They are better than the ones we had at Cafe du Monde's Riverwalk location. We actually had them twice from the hotel.

Very comfortable hotel in close proximity to the WWII Museum. Especially appreciated being able to go back to the hotel during the day while my husband spent time at the museum. We ate breakfast daily in the restaurant which was very nice, quiet and uncrowded.
