"Last-minute emergency trip. Decent stay for price."

The pictures on here are extremely misleading! The hotel does not look anything like that! Those pictures should be replaced so you don’t mislead travelers! It looks like it was a gem back in its day, but now it is more reflective of a glorified motel! If somebody came in with 10-20 million and invested in the property. It would be amazing. Having said all that, we really enjoyed our stay! I was there for a last-minute trip after picking up my college boy from the hospital and I booked this quickly on Hotels.com because the distance to the hospital and the price were right. There are a lot of shady areas around there so a motel was not an option. When the Uber pulled up, I was taken a back 😑 not realizing this was an adults, only hotel, and not understanding what that means! The next morning, I was happy to find many of the patrons were just average people on business trips and nothing was shady. The staff was amazing. The room was decent, but very outdated with broken blinds (seven out of 10 for cleanliness but that could be large in part because everything is just so outdated). The pool has potential. It’s a very nice area, but everything is decades old! There was no breakfast offered just fruit and muffins and the restaurant didn’t open until 11! I would still stay at this hotel again because of the people that work there, the fact that I felt safe and the price. I do however think the pictures should reflect what it currently looks like and everybody should have an honest view of what they’re walking into! It is not a four-star hotel, but it is somewhere decent to stay where you will feel safe. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant food was decent.

"Not so great"

"Resort fee" is now $39.40 with tax. This property is pretty run down. The interior rooms have windows which open to the walkway on each floor. The rooms, while large, are spartan. The door to my room was not entirely secure. You can see the pry bar marks from forcing the door open. Don't let the photos fool you. This place is for budget travelers.

"my personal experience"

I will say as far as customer service goes is top-tier Melinda absolutely adorable she will definitely go out of her way. However, the issue doesn’t fall with the workers. It falls with the hotel itself. That’s too low to the ground. Interior decorating could be a little more top-tier no microwaves is a double thumbs down no complementary breakfast that you’re used to when you stay at hotels was not available. Nowhere to keep the ice that you do get because the freezer doesn’t get cold enough. There were no remotes for the air conditioning so I did feel like I was closed in a room like I said the plus side would be the host and that would be about it and I won’t even talk about the homeless people that were chilling

"Payed off someone for that 4 star rating!"
TripAdvisor user rating 1.0 out of 5
Reviewed October 14, 2024
This is at best a 2 star hotel. Just read the reviews! My experience: there is a homeless commune 2 blocks south of the hotel. I had to drive by the homeless camp to get to the hotel. The hotel parking lot is dark, sketchy and very unsafe. The neighborhood is extremely ghetto. Both of the rooms (I transferred rooms because the first room was too run down- the second room wasn't much better) were old and unmaintained. Plaster from bad patch jobs and old ground in stains in the bathroom. The rooms have "in wall" a/c units. The ONLY type of hotel that has that are 1 & 2 star hotels. The a/c unit wouldn't shut off no matter what setting it was on. And the hotel played extremely loud music in the pool area all day and most of the night. It was so loud I could hear every word and beat in my room. I had to wear earplugs during my entire stay. When I wanted to watch t.v. I had to have the t.v. volume at 60 so I could hear the t.v. over the rude music blasting in the pool area. This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in.

"2 star hotel & nonexistent spa will rip you off"
TripAdvisor user rating 1.0 out of 5
Reviewed October 14, 2024
This 2 star hotel will rip you off. Here's how: they will charge your "refundable" deposit a $28 PER DAY "resort fee". This is not a resort or a real spa. This is what I was told the "resort fee" is for: 1. Pool access (any other hotel the pool is free). 2. Basic WiFi access (any other hotel the WiFi is free). 3. Spa access (the "spa" is 1 massage therapist). There isn't an actual spa it is just a massage therapist. I called the "spa" to schedule a massage and the massage therapist was booked the entire time that I was there. So, the "spa" was completely unavailable. From 8am to midnight the hotel plays loud obnoxious music in the pool area. You will NOT relax pool side at this "resort". The basic WiFi is to weak to be useful. I used my data plan the entire stay. So, I was charged $28 per day for: access to a pool that I couldn't relax in; WiFi that was useless; and a "spa" that was completely unavailable. This two star hotel WILL rip you off!
