"Never Again"

My husband and I should have known when we walked into the lobby to check in that we should walk back out. A woman was complaining no TV reception, the desk clerk said cable company was working on it. Another man said this was the worst Best Western he's ever stayed in. The desk clerk let us look at our room, for one night we decided it would suffice but were we wrong. Two huge dumpsters in the back parking lot were overflowing, 2 feral cats roaming around, there was dog poop by the elevator, only one set of towels in the room, the closet door was missing and no room phone. The room phone was needed when adolescent boys were roaming outside late into the night, slamming doors and a man who seemed to be with the boys was talking loudly on his cell phone well after midnight. This was a 3rd party online booking so the morning desk clerk said no adjustment could be made. It's very near ASU, is a lovely property and could be a comfortable stay. This is all negative but honest. My husband and I wouldn't want anyone else to have this experience.

"Stay at the Hampton next door."

Dirty floors, water damage on the ceiling, cables hanging from the open wall. TV's aren't working in the whole complex. Wi-Fi didn't connect. Our phone didn't work, which normally I wouldn't care about until I can't call the front desk directly to try and address the loud people at 3am who can't decide whether it's more fun to yell at each other or listen to reggae music at extreme volume. So. Much. Light. We were facing the pool area, and the window covering doesn't do hardly anything to block out the ridiculous lights they have on. It's darker on the street. All in all, not even 4 hours of sleep was had to be ready for our early morning meeting.

It's a total dump. We're talking flop house. We knew we were in trouble when we found a slow cooker with food sitting on the stairs. A screaming match between two "residents" in the parking lot. Graffiti in the elevator. Walls so thin you can follow along with the conversation next door. And a room that defies belief when it comes to being worn. Seriously, we ate a night's cost to go somewhere else where we felt safe. Best Western should be ashamed of themselves for allowing their brand to be associated with this train wreck. Truly made me question continuing to be a Best Western member, which I have been for decades.

"Down right dirty"

Very dirty, room had a terrible odor, bathroom was disgusting, the bedroom window was left open, no screen on it so 2 ladies traveling together we were concerned for our safety or if someone had climbed in the window off of Scottsdale road! We left immediately after checking in and looking around the room. Went and stayed at a different hotel.

"Sure 'don't' Stay"

The hotel is located in Tempe close to Tempe Market place and about 7 miles from the PHX airport. There is ample parking. The front desk staff is not customer friendly. The check-In process was simple but the staff was busy talking to each other. My room was on the third floor. There are elevators and stairs. The free breakfast had cereal, waffles, scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage, bread, muffins, yogurt, coffee, juice and sauce. There were some business guests but mostly guests who are traveling through Phoenix. I constantly saw police activity at the reception area. The hot water did not work one whole day. The internet reception and functionality was poor in the hotel room. The room floor, walls and ceiling had some damage. The towels didn't not feel clean. Enough towels weren't provided. The toilet seat was loose. The water pressure was good. The bed was comfortable but the sheets looked dirty. The pillows were comfortable. The lighting was adequate. Although the TV worked only half the channels worked. The Hampton Inn next door looked like a better place to stay for a business trip.
