My dad & I grew up going to this park; my dad used to come to thisark in the 70's & 80's when they first opened River King Mine Train, Screamin' Eagle, etc. I used to come here frequently with my dad when I was little & as a teen had good memories of riding Batman, Mr, Freeze, Pandemonium which used to be called Tony Hawk's Big Spin, American Thunder, previously known as Evel Knievel, etc. I went with a neighbor/childhood friend one year, another year with my cousin & aunt, one time to Fright Fest with 3 of my friends from junior high, & I used to go to Six Flaga parks all the time with my brother Luke & best friend Anne. I came with her to Holiday in the Park a few years ago which had some nice meet & greets & holiday/Christmas decor. However, like many others have said, I started noticing several years ago the park has gone really downhill. I can't remember the last time they got a leginimate ride that was actually new; I remember when they got Boomerang & called it "new" & it's actually Flashback from Six Flags Over Texas, which was a Vekoma built in 1979. My best friend & I stopped riding The Boss about 3-4 years ago because it has gotten rougher just like a lot of the other rides over the years & just causes migraines & back pain. Ninja is known for the same thing, it has been rough ever since it opened & for being jerky and last time I rode it I remember it just banging my ears & head side to side going through the corkscrews & inversions. I made the mistake of coming one Saturday in June when I had a day off from work & even Batman has gotten rough just like Mr. Freeze & other wooden coasters. I also went to Hurricane Harbor & didn't realize until the day I was there the Bonzai Pipelines were replaced with cabanas a few years ago; apparently they broke down a lot & were very rarely open. I did still enjoy other slides like Tornado, tube slides, & Big Kahuna which were slides I loved since I was little, & went on Typhoon Twister for the 1st time which I also had fun on, but after this last visit, Six Flags St. Louis is definately not one I'd come back to. After a short day at the park, I left around 3:40pm & enjoyed a nearby place, the Sunset Hills Aquatic Center for the rest of our day, which is local & much better run & maintained. I'd much rather go to Universal, Islands of Adventure, & Volcano Bay which is better managed, run, & friendly employees than here, which has turned to absolute trash.

If you're going for haunted houses, don't bother. You'll be waiting over an hour for each one unless you have fast past. Ridiculous. Just charge more for general admission and get more haunted houses. You're over crowded.

Honestly it was a pleasant experience. The rides are fantastic. The only thing I got against the roller coasters are the wooden ones. They hurt a lot but are still fun to ride. The food is expensive but good. I wauld recommend to those who love rides and a good time.

"Typical, fun Amusement Park/Waterpark!"

I'm local to the area and have a season pass to Six Flags St. Louis. My husband and I wanted to use the water park, Hurricane Harbor, multiple times this summer and by buying the season pass in early June, we received a free upgrade that gave us free parking. Otherwise, parking is $20 per day unless you purchase a season pass for that. The entire park, including Hurricane Harbor, was very clean and the staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. We had not been to the park in 10+ years, so we were easily lost. Multiple posted maps are available to help you get around but, as we stood to figure out where to go, someone would inevitably ask us if we needed help. My husband requires the use of a walker and we were required to leave it at the entry/exit of each ride. We felt comfortable leaving it as the staff took great care to keep it secure. They recognized us when the ride was over and immediately brought it back to us. At Hurricane Harbor there were multiple life guards present and paying close attention. I noticed they were rotated frequently and I suppose that was to help keep them alert. They were quick to call out any unsafe activity and that couldn't have been easy with the number of unsupervised young kids that I saw one day. Prices are typical for an amusement park. No food or drink is allowed to be brought into the park and no cash is accepted. Payment is by card only. Soft drinks were about $8 each. You can buy a cup with unlimited refills for the day for $19.99 or for the season for $34.99. Refills were quick and easy to get but the soft drinks did taste a little watered down. Standard meals are about $20 each. Novelties varied... a Funnel Cake with powdered sugar was $17. I did not check out any of the specialty food or drink for prices. They offer a daily meal plan for $22 where you can get a food item or standard meal every 90 minutes for no additional charge. I don't know if this applies to specialty food. The park offers numerous upgrades, all for an additional cost of course. You can buy a Flash pass that allows you to jump the line one time at each attraction. Additional fees in Hurricane Harbor to rent a tube or cabana for the day. The cost adds up fast if you don't plan ahead. You can enter and exit the park as many times as you like. Many people keep food in their car and leave the park to eat and then return. This park is handicapped accessible all over, but it is hilly. They rent scooters for those who need them, but they are costly. You can bring in strollers, wagons, handicap accessories with no problem, but they will be searched. Patrons enter via metal detectors. They have air conditioned shows for no additional charge, but I'm not familiar with them. There were multiple cooling areas, including an air conditioned cooling area. Overall, a typical amusement park/water park but still lots of fun!
