Wonderful resort. Affordable with beautiful views and perfect location. Janice at the crooked surf made our evenings fun and she helped us navigate the island. The food was yummy. Get an ocean view room for an amazing sunrise everyday. And the nightly music just tops it off.

The Sheraton was supposed to be the icing on the cake of our 3 island trip; a bit of luxury and pampering before flying back to a cold grey Wales. Unfortunately it didn’t live up to our expectations. We’d booked a deluxe ocean front king (thankfully it wasn’t in the block adjacent to the very large, very noisy plant) but whilst the view was lovely, the room itself was very tired with lifting flooring, scratched and chipped furniture, bed sheets too small for the bed and the most ineffective shower I have experienced. There were connecting doors either side and neither were sound-proofed - the neighbours on one side were party animals returning somewhat inebriated in the early hours, the others started the day with -ahem- vigorous activity. The balcony was marginally larger than standard rooms but still barely had room for a couple of (very uncomfortable) chairs and small table. Unless you need the space for a rollaway bed, I really wouldn’t waste the extra money on this type of room - sea view absolutely, deluxe ocean front not. Buffet breakfast was included in our rate; we never did find out whether you could choose anything off the a la carte menu because the hostess couldn’t bring herself to say “good morning” never mind explain what the options were. Apart from the egg station, the buffet was barely better, at nominally $35 a head, than the freebie at a HIE or Hilton. Dinner at MoaMoa was equally unimpressive; to the extent that we didn’t dine in the hotel again. Overall a disappointingly poor experience that I wouldn’t have expected at a Sheraton.

Just returned from a wonderful trip to Kauai, my first time visiting HI. We enjoyed our stay at the Sheraton Coconut Beach Resort. The layout of the hotel was excellent. It's big enough, but not overwhelming. The pool/hot tub, game room, fitness center, restaurants, etc.. were all close together and easy to get to. That's part of the reason why I wanted to stay at this hotel. I don't enjoy staying at places that are so big, that you get lost trying to find your way around. The Sheraton Coconut Beach was not like that at all. I also loved that it is directly adjacent to the beach. They have a lawn area right next to the sand with chairs and loungers so that you can sit and relax and watch the waves and even see whales farther out in the ocean. We would spend a good amount of time each day, sitting on the chairs, relaxing, talking, and watching the water. The rooms were very spacious and clean. We lucked out and had a great ocean view location. There was a tiny balcony off the room, where I liked to spend time. The housekeeping staff was very nice and when we had service, left the room sparkling clean. There a few dining options at the resort, which we ended up eating at most of our stay. We had the morning breakfast buffet, which was good, but the best was The Crooked Surf. We ate there for most of our meals. The food was delicious and my husband said that the specialty cocktails were really good. Also, bonus points for the location. There is a Longs right across the street and you are within walking distance to a mini-mall with a Safeway, other restaurants nearby, and a cute mall with shops and restaurants. I would definitely stay at this resort again.

The first thing I want to comment on is the amazing customer service! Issues we had were promptly addressed and wait staff was extremely friendly. This hotel is very nice from an amenity, food, pool, and beach access standpoint. Its also a perfect midway point for those that want to explore a lot of the island. HOWEVER- I had to give 4/5 vs 5/5 because we had paid extra for an ocean front beach room and were put right next to a huge exhaust/utility room. We couldn't even hear the ocean that was 100 feet away from our patio. It ran all night and we could also hear it through our room walls. We did request to move rooms after the first night and the front desk staff were extremely accommodating. We had to move to a double queen when we had a king, but it was still an ocean front room and we were willing to do so due to how bad the noise was. Overall, I would recommend this hotel but do not pay extra for the ocean front rooms. Honestly the way the hotel is laid out, the ocean view rooms give you just as nice a view for less cost and definitely less noise! I would encourage hotel management to make a note of the fan noise for the room we were in when booking and provide a discounted price instead of charging the same price as the rooms on the other side of the building that don't have this issue.

Just okay. Nothing feels like a Sheraton, more of a motel kind of feel to it. The employees the same- rude, not afraid to mouth off at customers. Me and my family got cussed at for taking pictures of chickens eating that were being fed by a hotel staff member. You are based on customer service and tourism, mouthing off at customers will not get recommendations, returning guests, or improved business.
