We stayed here as part of our Delta Vacation getaway. I was a bit nervous because of mixed reviews, but I came to the conclusion that every review of Hawaii hotels is mixed. I suspect people expect more for the price. I like to use pros and cons in reviews but this is more suited to just staying factual. The price is comparable to other mid-range resorts in the area. The amenities are nice but not fancy. Good pool and hot tub that were often busy but not crowded. Same with the restaurants. There are three listed, but really only two. The Moa Moa is the nice one and serves breakfast, too, including a pricey but very good breakfast buffet. The other two, the Crooked Surf and Fire Hen are really the same, the first is the poolside bar and the second the "indoor" game room bar. It has pool tables, arcade games and an oversized, multi player foosball table. You get menus for both in those areas. Solid food for those wanting a break from the town. There is not much indoor space for rainy days, but there are daily activities such as lei-making and shave ice by the pool. The resort fee does include use of the bikes, so take advantage of the beautiful bike path behind the hotel. Go north (left as you look at the ocean). The rooms are newly renovated and very clean. We had a king, poolside on the third floor. Walk in shower. Fairly small room, with just enough space for two chairs and a small desk and chair. The lenai was very small. Two chairs, and a small round stand, but a bit of a Tetris game getting two people with two drinks on it. It looked like the ocean-view rooms might be bigger. There is great access to the beach, including lounge chairs, Adirondacks, and umbrellas, but the east side surf is pretty rough so use caution. This is definitely geared toward families. Lots of kids. They didn't enforce the pool hours, so most days there were loud kids in the pool by 7 a.m., sometimes as early as 6. The island pretty much shuts down at 9, and the resort bar closes at 10, so if you are the type who'd rather be drinking cocktails at midnight instead of listening to everyone getting up at 6, beware. Overall a good place to stay, particularly if you have kids.

The best part of my time at the Sheraton was sitting at the bar in front of our bartender Kyle! He was so quick and attentive, and made my drinks exactly how I wanted them. Aedan was also behind the bar and was so friendly and helpful. Even when it was so busy they both made use feel like a priority. I will return to this bar over and over again, even if I’m kit staying at the Sheraton, just for the chance to sit in front of Kyle & Aedan! Mahalo for the great experience and abundance of aloha

Spent 4 nights here in March 2025 in an ocean view room. The room was a pretty typical Sheraton room - nothing distinguishing. The bathroom, while clean, was clearly in need of some updating. Staff was mostly friendly, although many just walked by without any acknowledgment. Breakfast buffet was also pretty typical but more than adequate, although the service was slow for coffee, getting the check, etc. Grounds are lovely. Very nice pool area, plenty of chairs/umbrellas during the time we visited but could see there being a shortage of chairs during busy times. Small, clean beach but not swimmable due to the all the rocks. While quite some distance from the major tourist area, the location was convenient to the airport and lots of shops and restaurants were very close. Wifi, which is covered by the $50 daily resort fee, was a joke. It's 2025, how a hotel can't have adequate Wifi is beyond me. If you're a Bonvoy elite member, don't expect any recognition or benefits (I'm platinum, which was never acknowledged). Room upgrade: sorry, we don't do that. Enhanced Wifi (sorry, we don't offer that). Late check out: Sorry, we don't offer that. Overall, I'd say this is a typical Sheraton, just in a nicer location. Until recently, it was. Courtyard by Marriott. I'm sure I'll get the canned management response: Thanks for your comments, we'll share them with our team, etc. But the team knows! From my perspective, they just don't care!

My husband and I wrapped up an amazing 5-day birthday group trip in Honolulu and headed to Kauai for some much-needed rest and relaxation—and this hotel was just the vibe we needed! It’s small, super cozy, and literally right on the beach—perfect for kicking back and taking in the beauty of Kauai. Most of the staff were warm, welcoming, and went out of their way to make us feel at home—except the front desk team, who unfortunately gave off some chilly vibes (lots of frowns, not much aloha spirit). But shoutout to Karen at the concierge desk—she was an absolute gem! She worked her magic and got us booked on a last-minute hiking tour that ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. Now about the room—let’s just say the hotel has definitely seen better days. While the room was super spacious (huge win!), it could use a little love and updating. The balcony was teeny (barely fit a chair), and the bathroom needed a solid deep clean. Also, only one tiny elevator was working, so we got plenty of steps in using the stairs! BUT—if you stay here, please do yourself a favor and hop on the free bikes! We did the 10-mile beach ride, and it was one of the most intense, breathtaking experiences we've ever had. We even used the bikes to grab groceries and head to breakfast—such a fun way to explore. And I have to give a special shoutout to Kyle, the bartender—he was the true MVP of our stay! His energy was absolutely infectious, and he had the best recommendations. I showed him a random waterfall photo on my phone and—no joke—he knew exactly where it was. He made our nights at the bar feel like hanging out with an old friend. All in all, the hotel isn’t perfect, but it had just the right amount of charm for a relaxing, memorable escape. ❤️🌴

The service at the bar was phenomenal. Kyle was the perfect culmination of bartender and host and friend. He served with smile and promptness. I look forward to going back to this beautiful establishment so that I can get the magic of Kyle mixed with beauty of Kauai.
