"Son loved it"

We just finished a four night stay at the Legoland Hotel. This stay was to make up for our original scheduled trip in 2020 which we had to cancel due to the pandemic. Our son loved his stay. Since this trip was five years late, he's 11 now so was probably the oldest kid there, but he still loved it. He loved pretty much everything about both the hotel and Legoland. He loved the master builder sessions offered to hotel guests. I hope they keep them. (I read that Legoland is cutting back their entertainment staff. I hope that reconsider.) One disappointment was that the hotel's buffet restaurant, Bricks, was closed, so we had to go to the restaurant in the Pirate Hotel (which is attached) for our breakfast. I believe this was done as it is the low season, but was disappointing for two reasons: (1) our son has watched many YouTube videos about Legoland and was expecting the Bricks restaurant, so was disappointed. (2) Wait times at the Pirate Hotel restaurant got long if you didn't go early enough for breakfast. It seemed like they should have had both restaurants open to better manage crowds, at least for breakfast. Also, in relation to food, food at the hotel is okay, but selection is limited. Since we spent 4 nights and didn't want to leave the resort, food got repetitive. Another disappointment my son had was that the large LEGO play area in the hotel lobby was filled with with Duplo. He was expecting LEGO from videos he's watched. Also, our hotel room had a bin of bricks - a really nice touch - but they were also Duplo. LEGO would have been better. Overall though a very fun place for young kids. I know my son really wants to go again, but sadly it may not be possible. He's probably going to be too old for it soon, and unfortunately with the U.S.'s recently announced economic war against our country (Canada), we are going to be boycotting U.S. travel.

From the time you pull up front, there is no question this is going to be fun! Walking through the front doors, you will be welcomed by some of the most polite and accommodating staff I have ever found! If you didn’t want to go to the park, you wouldn’t have to, there are tons of activities for your kids! All challenge them to create and think, do what leads them and have fun! Then you get on the elevator, let the disco begin, that’s all I’ll say! Entering our room, we found it well appointed and was amazing from The entrance to the window! They have thought about everything! Your stay starts with a mini in-room treasure hunt! There is plenty of space to settle in the room with spaces for your kids and grownups, they’ve maximized the use of the space very well! The TV played loop Videos of Lego figures in the halls and on the elevators, which we watched so many times and laughed about! We ate the complementary breakfast was amazing! It’s served country style and is endless! It is amazing in any realm and if there is something you prefer or need, just ask your server. Did I mention that these were the most incredible employees I’ve ever found! The energy is invigorating in this hotel! Take your kids, but grownups will Have just as much fun!

"Awful Service - Can’t handle complaints"
TripAdvisor user rating 1.0 out of 5

Incredible and remarkable experience this evening. After waiting for ages for a table at Skyline we asked the waitress Nayeli if we could sit down at one of the several empty tables. Without looking up she said “no you can wait” and then wondered off. No explanation. I was admittedly put out by this unfair and uncourteous treatment. But this really isn’t the complaint. The complaint is aimed at the food and beverage manager Eric. I was conveying my disappointed with the waitress and the immediate response was to side with her. Without letting me finish my complaint he wondered off and came back and said all the tables were busy and none were empty so we couldn’t sit down. This was of course 15 minutes after the event. I couldn’t believe I was unable to finish my complaint. I was a bit annoyed with this out of hand treatment and I let him know. He threatened security. It is incredible how you can disempower a complaining customer by threatening security when all they are doing is complaining. Oh - and you’re not allowed to show your emotion or displeasure when you complain. Otherwise they will call security. If you think about it, if you threaten security you never really have to deal with complaints. Either way, as a multi-occasion visitor to Legoland hotel I am utterly disappointed. Worst thing - we have 7 more nights here. Can’t wait :(

"Good for families. Be aware of off season differences to set expectations"

Be aware of off season vs on season differences. Great for families with young children especially infants and/or toddlers who have a hard time napping out and about (seems to have a fear of missing out). The close proximity to the theme park made it easy for one parent or the family to go in and out of the theme park. Be aware of off season changes in service and amenities. We knew going in that it would be hit or miss on what was open/available based on previous reviews so wasn’t surprised to see only one restaurant open for part of the day. I think the hotel could do a better job making it more clear on what differences you might expect off season to set expectations and avoid complaints . We ate at the pirate hotel for breakfasts and the staff were fantastic and friendly. We ate at skyline lounge twice - very convenient to order and let littles watch the entertainment and by the time they’re done, the food is usually out. Kory(?) our server was attentive. The food was pretty decent but expensive which again … you pay for convenience We did not use the pool this time around.
