"Awesome bartenders"

I echo the review of Lauren. On an usually busy Monday she was awesome and attentive. It was good to see a young college kid with so much enthusiasm. Then the next day Joseph was behind the bar who was also awesome. Great atmosphere with the pool and view of the river. Plus the new food menu is great. The chicken wings and cuban sandwich were outstanding.

"Utampa experience"

Lauren is awesome at the bar near the pool!! She helped to hear about Utampa, and was kind to all the customers there. She took good care of us all and made the stay much better. I also thought that the room and pool was very nice and helped make my stay enjoyable

"DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL"

Long story short. Booked "Riverview" room and just in advance. Rooms not ready at check-in. Once ready they asked if I would take same category room but on different floor. This was my view of a roof! Went back and was told room with river view wouldn't be ready for 2-3 hours. Couldn't wait that long as we had dinner reservations and tickets to a show. We were also told they overbooked. After returning to room after our night where we planned on sitting on the balcony to enjoy the river view but again only has a roof to look at! Went to bed and found stains on sheets... Looked to be blood.. Front desk said they could refund my money and find me another hotel (1:00 in the morning!) put towel over the sheet. Would rate rooms a 2 at best... Not the cleanest and run down.

"Joseph was wonderful!"

Joseph at the pool bar was amazing and really went out of his way to make sure there was a service recover after an opportunity with a meal. On the first week of opening back up from the hurricane, we knew to be more understanding. We had an opportunity with one of our entrees food quality and asked for them to be taken back. Joseph saw my team the next day, made sure to stop by, and brought us brand new wings, which were 100% better than the first time we tried to eat them. The attention to detail really made us feel welcomed.

"Very Disappointing Stay"

We stayed at the Hotel Tampa Riverwalk for one night and it was not a good experience. The room was large and the bed was comfortable which was a plus. But the electricity to the left side nightstand did not work, so the lamp, electrical and usb ports and telephone were nonfunctional. Because of this we only had 4 electric plugs for the entire room and bathroom. This and not being able to get the TV to work was an inconvenience. But the next morning when I turned the tub water on and brown sludgy water came out of the spout… well that was just disgusting. Upon checkout when we showed the front desk worker a picture of the sludge water he said “that’s gross.” We honestly couldn’t get out of that hotel fast enough.
