Hollywood Hotel was an unexpected and pleasant surprise! Clean, updated, extremely helpful and friendly front desk staff, a very nice pool area, secure parking, and within easy walking distance to many local, delicious restaurants recommended by the front desk. The room was a comfortable size, overlooked the night-lit central courtyard, was quiet and well furnished with an unusually large-sized bathroom. We left our car at the Hotel and used stress-free and reasonably priced UBER to attend scheduled nearby functions. Previously, we stayed at other locations in the Hollywood area but now have found the one we will regularly return to - Hollywood Hotel. We did not participate in the breakfast discount due to poor ratings and reviews, but instead ate at a nearby wonderful breakfast place.

Had a lovely stay here, the place is clean and feels nice and safe for a solo female traveler. The staff are very welcoming, especially Michael was super helpful and gave me some great tips for things to visit while in Los Angeles!

The hotel was very nice, we stayed in a room with a balcony overlooking the courtyard, with a really nice view of the courtyard and with the doors open you could hear the relaxing sound of the foutain. The hotel has a ton of history and Michael at the front desk was super knowledgeable and and also helped with ammenities in the hotel and booking time in the sauna, details about the pool, the little shop and the what was in the area neighborhoods. The Hotel is very convenient to the Metro Red Line, with the Santa Monica stop across the street that made it easy to get to all points in LA. We were expecting to be in town for one night, but the area had so much going on and the hotel had a nice vibe that we extended our stay for an additional night. The hotel get a big thumps up for history and location. It is an older hotel, and not a generic "chain hotel" with all the newest everything, but it was fun to stay here for the experience, we look forward to staying here again on our next visit to LA.
