Lobby is clean, pool and atrium areas are relaxing. Room met expectations. Parking is costly (~35$ per day, with in and out privileges) but it’s gated and well lit at night. Negative is that you must state your room# and last name aloud to get inside the parking lot and that could turn into a safety issue for solo female guests.

A nice classic hotel experience at the heart of East Hollywood. It was nice to hop in a warm pool after flying in from Minnesota in January. They even have a sauana. The rooms were spacious and well-appointed, despite the hotel itself being quite old 1903!? It features a beautiful courtyard that's the perfect escape from the busy city outside. The staff was very friendly and helpful, offering recommendations, Michael even lent us his bottle opener! With it's location a block away from the Vermont/Santa Monica metro station, it's a great base to explore LA. And the price was very reasonable.

Even before my stay, I’ve already had a very positive impression of this hotel thanks to Pil’s excellent customer service. Pil was extremely helpful, responsive, and professional when assisting me prior to my arrival. They patiently answered my questions, provided clear information, and made the entire process feel smooth and reassuring. Pil’s friendly attitude and willingness to help truly stood out and gave me confidence that I made the right choice with this hotel. Based on this experience alone, I’m really looking forward to my stay and expect it to be a great one. Thank you, Pil, for the outstanding service even before check-in.

"Don't stay if you can't sleep with lights on"

Curtains in the room were only sheers, and a naked caged bulb was blazing on the balcony, making sleep impossible for us. The staff would do nothing to help us. We were forced to cancel all of our plans, leave and drive three hours home at 10 p.m. The next day, the manager would not refund even the second night we booked, saying that "most people" prefer sleeping with lights on.

Honestly, terrible experience. Day one, talked to night manager about room not being as advertised, he said there was nothing he could do because it was through booking dot com. Understood. Then he proceeds to yell at my boyfriend and accuses him of not paying parking and tried to have us pay again, then he justified himself by saying it was under a different name. The parking was $42 a night which I had just paid and wasn’t aware of before booking, also understandable. At first the room wasn’t that bad the bathroom was different than pictures but moving on from that. The bathroom was more than just different it was dirty, had rust stains everywhere and open gaps. It also had an ant infestation. Next day the water went out for half an hour no warning while we getting ready, the room had an iron that was poor quality and ruined my boyfriends shirt. They said they would bring us a newer iron but never did. Room wasn’t serviced when we came back that night, had to call and ask for more towels since the soap dispenser dripped all over the counter. Again night manager was short and hung up on me when I called. The floor in front of the bed was covered in crumbs that were not from us. We wanted to see the bar, the other reason we booked and it was closed permanently. Then the elevators weren’t working and for the rest of the trip we had to take stairs. Overall the experience was poor at best. Staff was rude. The two selling points of the hotel were closed and different than advertised. For the price we were better off anywhere else.
