We enjoyed our stay. The bed was comfortable and food and drink selection was wonderful. We also spent time down at the pool and the staff was extremely pleasant. Ashley G. took great care of us at the Tropics area. On a day that was extremely busy, she kept a smile on her face and made us feel at home. The bar staff at the main lobby bar was also great to engage with!

My experience at checking-in with Abdul at the Front Desk was cordial. He was helpful by giving me directing to the ASHRAE Winter conference Registration Desk location i.e. down the escalator. When asked he also shared with me directions and the route to the conference center.

Very nice hotel! Check-in experience is perfect. Thumbs up to Abdul from front desk who gave us overwhelming support to our check-in materials! The hotel room is large and the bed is so comfortable! There is a reason why I will always seek out a Marriott property over a Hilton. This stay was a reminder why. Staff was friendly enough - from the staff by the pool, the restaurants and the front desk - but some of the policies they are asked to follow make zero sense. For example - after packaging a hat in an envelope and putting the postage label on it - I asked the front desk if they could take it and drop it in their mail bag (I know one exists as I was told it did). I was told I needed to take it to FEDEX - the FEDEX that just charged me $6usd to pick it up (fair enough it was a service I intended to pay for but fyi the website says $4usd) only to open it and find out it was the wrong product (hence my reason to return). They wanted to charge me $4usd to print the postage label and another $4usd to take it from my hands and drop in into a box for the post man literally right there). The product being returned was $16usd fyi. Nickel and diming your guests is just ridiculous - perhaps it was because they cater to conferences with unlimited expense accounts? However this mamma of 4 very active, expensive kids can't afford the runaround. Second issue - CHECK YOUR CHECKS!!!! While when we dined out with our whole group (I was in town with a group of boys for a volleyball tournament and travelled with a party of 20) an automatic gratuity is expected, I had drinks at the pool with a mom and a 20% gratuity was added on - FOR TWO OF US. No mention when the check was dropped off....maybe just hoping I wouldn't notice? Sneaky no? Unethical ya? Rooms could use a makeover - they are a little tired and old. Bathrooms as well. Common areas are well kept and the pool was really nice - adult pool as well as the regular one. Boys really enjoyed the lazy river lol.
