I give the Key West Hilton Garden Inn, an average rating. The pros: the room was very clean, the front desk people were very nice and the pool hot tub area was excellent. Although the room was clean, it was very dated, the mattress needs to be replaced and there were maintenance issues in the bathroom area of which two werenot able to be fixed-toilet had to be held to flush and low shower pressure. Overall my expectation of Hilton Garden Inn appearance was not met. The hotel exterior needs refreshing and has the appearance of an old motor inn which may not be an issue for some people. It is quite a ways from main area and does have a shuttle. We did not use so cannot speak to how well it works. If it were not for the cleanliness of the room and the front desk being so nice and responsive, I would have given this hotel a 1.

My husband and I traveled to Key West on Jan. 1, 2025, and stayed at Hilton Garden Inn Key West a couple of nights, close to Hwy A1 entering Key West. Upon checking in, the receptionist was very helpful, quick and courteous to provide information about hotel, amenities and shuttle schedule from hotel to near downtown Mallory Square/Duval St. Courtesy water bottles were provided. The room was very accommodating, spacious, with comfortable bedding. We took advantage to ride shuttle to Waterfront Brewery drop-off shortly after checking in, took shuttle back at same drop-off point before last ride at 9:30 PM, and again the following day. This was helpful so we did not have to drive and pay for parking. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend. Thank you, Hilton staff, for your services at nice hotel and making our vacation memorable.

If you are looking for a clean, safe, affordable place to stay in Key West, this is a great option. No, it isn't right in the heart of Duval Street, but if you want a peaceful place to stay, you probably don't want to be there, anyway! Great pool and updated, well-equipped gym.

Recently stayed here with our 4 kids in 2 rooms. I felt like it was a bait and switch compared to the pictures. The rooms we a decent size, but filled with bulky, grungy furniture- there was no where to open suitcases except on the bed. The room was dirty; with built up grim on baseboards and light switches. The ‘local’ roosters nested in a tree right outside our rooms. And starting at 2am the made noise constantly waking us up. The cheeky note and ear plugs they left did nothing to drown out the noise. The pool was poorly maintained and dirty. The good: the lobby was nice and the pool food was affordable (although they burned both pizzas we ordered). We frankly couldn’t wait to leave.

This hotel has some issues. The picture that hotel has as its viewing page is the best possible picture - the beautiful outside bar... BUT that blue water is a mirage! We went into the pool and it was obvious the pool had not been cleaned in some time, the water didnt look like that! The hot tub - it left a stench so bad we had to wash the suits as they smelled up the room. Look if this was the only problem you just say "okay they had an off day or two" but no.... plenty more issues - they charge you a resort fee but it is not a resort by any means. It is a motor lodge on a VERY busy street with ample noise and traffic at all hours. The pool has no one who comes out to check on things so it gets overrun by kids whose parents are not attending to them. There are dirty towels thrown everywhere and across most of the chairs so just finding a clean chair is an issue at times. Again you pay a resort fee for having to pick up dirty towels from other guests! Then the staff.... we had this bizarre thing happen one evening. Our TV turned itself on - and welcomes a Hilton Gold Member who was not one of us! It clearly had another guests name - we thought okay an error made by the front desk lets call them.... so we did and no one picked up.... we called again... and again... finally we called guest services and they called the front desk... no one answered for them either and they apologized and said they could not do anything...... the front desk was ABSENT for over a half hour by which time we gave up - if that guest would have come into our room we would have explained the situation and sent him back but no one ever called to follow up and no one from the front desk was found in a timely manner. This is UNACCEPTABLE.... The rooms are nothing special, the pool was dirty and the staff was not present when needed. This was a HUGE letdown and we will never stay here again.... ever. This property is a black mark on the Hilton name. I fell completely ripped off and for what we spent to get what we got is a joke. But not a funny one.
