We went on a trip to Amish Country and decided to take a day trip to Hershey. I have always been a chocolate fan but was renewed to a new level. The inside was inviting with engaging exhibits and tours. I even made a bar of my own. Great deals of candy. People were very nice and inviting. We all had a great time.

Took the trolley tour today, so glad we did! Derrick made the town and the history of Milton Hershey come alive. So much interesting info, but in a personal way, a ton of things about the man I had not known, so many progressive ideas for early 1900’s. Do this tour, only about 45 minutes

First off, I was alone and did not go to Hershey park on any of the paid rides, so I can't comment on those. If you were with your family, I think this park would be a lot of fun. There was excitement in the air as I walked in. I went on the free ride which is good for a free ride. It was cute and explained how the chocolate is made. The store is very large, with all sorts of chocolate and sweets, toys, t -shirts, hats, magnets etc. Obviously at the usual theme park prices, although there were some good deals on Halloween candy.

"Quaint Tourist Trap but Informative"

The free ride learning about Hershey was fun & informative. We arrived when they first opened (9AM), so there was hardly any wait to get on the ride, but after 10-10:30 am, the crowds begin for the entire place. We did the package deal with 2 attractions (Unwrapped & Great Candy Expedition), a historic trolley ride, and an adult/kid meal deal (only because the child meal was free). The food there is not worth it, go somewhere else to eat. The kids' meal was a pizza, apple, water, small Hershey bar ($13, but ours was free), and the adult meal we got to share was pizza, pretzels, & 20oz. drink ($18). We enjoyed The Hershey Unwrapped show the best. It was funny, interactive, and you great takeaway souvenir. The Great Candy Expedition was fun, but the candy you get at the end is not the candy you selected on your train ride. For instance, our group chose Almond Joy, Twislers, & Jolly Rancher train expeditions, but got Twisler & jolly rancher in our takeaway candy bag. The historic train ride was really interesting learning about Milton Hershey & how the company came to be. You get more candy while on the tour and a regular size Hershey bar when you exit the trolley. Our guide was very nice & funny. He was a former history teacher. The store has every candy you can imagine & then some. Definitely purchased the sea salt caramels because when you get home you will wish you had some! When we left, we all were done with chocolate for a while.

"A well stocked shop"

Firstly, we didn't do any of the paid for attractions here except the Trolley Works which is s separate review. We went on the free "factory" ride which didn't impress. The shop is well stocked and there are offers to be had - we bought from there. The staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful but all-in-all I think I expected more.
