The hotel provides a 24-hour multilingual front desk. Cheekie Hut is a poolside bar and grill that serves American cuisine. Guests can also grab a hot beverage at the coffee bar. The Hemingway House is a 13 minutes drive from the property.

I want to try and write a fair review of the property. First of all, please note that this hotel is not one building. It is 6 buildings and seems to be a former motel that was probably renovated. I wish I had known this before I made a reservation. I think the pictures on the website are a little deceiving. I was stuck in the last building with a view of nothing but some of trees. The ocean is across the street, but the only beach (Smathers Beach) is a good 1-2 mile walk or drive from the hotel. If you think you can go put your toes in the water across the street, you are wrong. There is a nice bike/walking path across the street and the hotel does have bicycles for rent (for 24 hours). The hotel does have an airport shuttle which also goes into town. It gets really crowded and you have to sign up for it at the front desk. The room was a decent size but it did have low water pressure. The drain was also terribly slow. The pool area is nice. You will receive a drink card for 2 drinks daily for the bar and you can order food there. You are limited on what drinks you can order. There is a small gym which was in a separate building as well. They have a concierge for booking tours. They were very nice. I recommend the trolley tour. There is a free breakfast which is your standard Hampton Inn breakfast. Nothing special. Limited seating inside but you can go out by the pool. Staff was nice. The prices here are outrageous during high season. I would never book at such a high rate again for this type of property.

We stayed here for one week. Main reasons we booked was because of the price, view, free shuttle to downtown and airport, and the free breakfast. Nothing disappointed. The free shuttle between downtown runs about every 45 minutes from 8AM to 10:30 PM. It drops you off at the Waterfront Brewery. There a lot of restaurants located here or it is a short walk to Duval. You should put your name on the schedule located at the front desk to hold your spot. We took the free shuttle every day. Drivers are very friendly. We also used the free Duval Shuttle. When we arrived I called the hotel and the van was right there. Leaving, we put our departure time on the sign-up sheet. Free breakfast was your typical free breakfast buffet. Eggs, sausage, potatoes, biscuits & gravy, waffles, cereal, oatmeal, cupcakes, bread, juice, coffee, tea. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Watch out for wild chickens and ibis! Ask the front desk if you prefer decaffeinated coffee. There are always free bottles of water at the front desk. Rooms are very nice, clean, quiet, with a king size bed, balcony. We had a view of the pool and ocean (room 242). Only issue was there was no soap dispenser in the shower, When I called the front desk they said it was a supply issue so they would give us bars of soap.

Stayed for Thanksgiving week (family of 4). You cannot beat it when traveling with family. Book a pool view if you have kids so you can always watch them. - Free breakfast is a huge perk but the fact they have longer hours (until 10:30) was amazing because my teen wakes later than us. - Location on the water is perfect for morning sunrise. - The resort fee was a surprise at the end and I wasn’t expecting an additional $200 on my bill. But it did allow us to have 2 waters each day and 2 cocktail's. The price of breakfast would have been much higher so I’m good with it. - Housekeeping is the only complaint. I was there 6 nights and there were multiple days nobody came. I called the desk one morning before heading to the beach to ask them to come… they didn’t. The next day I called again and was told they only work till 5pm and try to get it in. My room was full of sand from 2 days at a beach so this was disappointing. When they did eventually come they didn’t even vacuum, only made the beds and changed towels.

Great Experience at Hampton Inn, Key West! I normally thought of the Hampton Inn as a place to stay when traveling for business or when visiting family out of state. Since I was so pleased with their service on those occasions, I thought why not give them a try for vacation - we’re so glad we did! We called the Hampton Inn when we arrived at the airport and the shuttle was at the airport within 5 minutes. Shuttle was clean and spacious. Some guests mentioned they walked over from the airport as they a sidewalk is provided and it’s only about a 10 minute walk. Staff was amazing! Front desk and concierge personnel were professional, friendly and helpful - we were always greeted with a smile! Shuttle drivers were so outgoing, friendly, helpful and prompt - we had wonderful conversations with them during each ride! Shuttle sign up is conveniently located at the front desk. Shuttle drop off is in the circle drive by the entrance to the Waterfront Brewery - during pick ups it was good to be there 15 to 20 mins early because there could be a crowd waiting for first come, first serve type service. We were always able to get a shuttle utilizing this strategy. Shuttles were always very prompt! These drivers deserve a tip! Room was very clean, spacious and up to date. Balcony was very nice. Breakfast buffet was included and provided a large variety of delicious, fresh food and beverages. Everything was clean and orderly. Outdoor pool and bar were clean, comfortable and relaxing with live music at times. We normally eat in town when visiting Key West, but the food and service was so good here that we stopped back for a late dinner a couple of times and even stopped back for lunch once as well. Bartenders were friendly and service was great! The only time we noticed the airplanes flying overhead was when we were at the outdoor bar and honestly it was kind of interesting and fun to see the planes up close. Grounds are beautiful and well cared for. Will definitely stay here again and recommend to others!
