We had a great time. Rode everything except one roller coaster. It was closed. We went during fright night. Just know you have to buy an extra pass to go through haunted houses.

The park itself is great but $30 for parking. And $80 for ticket. Did not tell you can go online I even ask and the poor kid said all the same price. Only there for 2 hours. Hurt arm on log ride because it is so old the log was rusty and the screws where louse. Paramedics great. Ended up in er give shot placed on antibiotics total cost that day for 2hrs was over $400. And I ask about discount they said go online tickets are cheaper. Management has poor customer service and experience with the public.

WATCH OUT! If you buy a pass as a parent for a minor, pay very close attention, these crooks will happily take your money, then when your 15 year old shows up, they'll say, "hmm, you're not your father. No entry." And make you child buy another pass with the money you gave him/her to have fun.

"Very Small Park With 3 Big Rides Nonoperational"

5 Rollercoasters are at this park. The biggest name is Diamond Back. There are only 4 rides in the water area. The biggest name is The Gully Washer. It's the first Saturday in a hot August. Guess what's not open.--To the park's credit, rides were listed as being closed before you even entered the park--that's better than some places. However, if you are traveling, already bought tickets, and the best thing here is a log flume ride, it is more than disappointing to walk in knowing there's really not much to do. The park is currently owned by Six Flags, but began decades ago as an independent. It was bought and sold by different indentities for years. Because of this, there's a few aspects that are not Six Flags--no Super Heroes and rides like bumper cars (very rare for S.F. Parks) exist. However, if you are looking for thrill rides, the only one that we managed to ride during the day was Silver Bullet and it was only thrilling because it's so old, it could have broken down anytime, and we could have been jerked around, like within a car crash.

"Entertains Kids, Disappointing for Adults"

We were looking for someplace different to go for a vacation using the elite season passes my family has. Decided to do a driving trip from Chicago to Frontier City. The theme was pretty cool with the western design. Cedar Point in OH has a real horse riding attraction for kids, was a bit surprised that Frontier City didn’t have one. We got there at Noon on a Monday, and there weren’t a lot of people, which worked out fine. Our 5-yr-old was bored after two hours, wanted to go to Chuck E Cheese to play games, but we convinced her to stay, and we were there for 4.5 hours. She enjoyed the kids rides and won a prize at one of the games. We were surprised that so few roller coasters were open. It’s summer, shouldn’t the roller coasters be open? Maintenance should not be the excuse because that can be done on Tuesdays and Wednesdays when the park is closed. We drove here from Chicago and never went on one roller coaster. The big gunfight show wasn’t even working. The gift shop was an another disappointment. So few shirts for kids. It’s fun to pick up merchandise of places you visit and bring it home. Most of it was garbage unrelated to Frontier City. Six Flags Great America outside Chicago has Warner Brothers characters everywhere. You couldn’t have Yosemite Sam being the star of this theme park? One highlight was that we weren’t charged a $1.99 food transaction fee like we are at Great America with every food purchase. Bottom line is that Frontier City gets the job done to entertain kids, but adult trips should be avoided.
