We have stayed at this property multiple times now so this review should be taken from someone who used to love this place. I used to feel so passionate about this location that my experience this time required my first trip advisor review. My pregnant wife and I just finished a stay at this FS and my goodness, father time has not been good to this property. Usually at this property food, service and views are the highlights. This trip however….the only thing worth returning for are the views. The rooms are tired, the service is poor and the food is borderline inedible. You will see glowing reviews of multiple food establishments on property but trust me, they are wrong. You will pay 2-3 hundred dollars with each meal and would be able to cook tastier pasta and get better sushi at home or your neighborhood place. How bout a mai tai? The wailea golf course mixes them better. Surely room service is hard to mess up? Think again, absolutely abysmal salad with shrimp that surely came from a bag. That’ll be another 250 dollars please! The resort is also overrun by multiple meetings and large group events, removing any sort of intimacy of the interactions with the staff. They used to remember your name and your drink order…now they leave a menu and pull up their Venmo’s for a tip. As a training location for FS worldwide, I hope this is not the standard they are teaching. Take your hard earned money down the beach to the Fairmount or over to the Ritz at Kapalua. Poor poor job Four Season, shame on you. You were killed just like that famous character in that famous show, that was filmed here. Not even a stay in the pineapple suite (we stayed in a suite) could’ve saved this trip.

"Seven Star Service! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟"

As a CEO of a large law firm, downtime is crucial, especially when I am with my family. We are very fortunate to be able to travel the world and our "family time" is paramount to us. We travelled to the Four Seasons, Maui with my wife and two boys, (aged eight and six). We usually spend every spring break, island hopping in the Maldives and we are first timers in Maui. Prior to arriving in Maui, we stayed at the Four Seasons, Beverley Hills, Wiltshire. The stay there was exceptional. Therefore, we were expecting "big things" at the Four Seasons, Maui. I have the pleasure in writing this review today, (whilst I am still at the hotel and celebrating my birthday today). I could not have asked for a better way or place to be in bringing in the birthday celebrations. This hotel FAR exceeded our expectations. As residents in Dubai we have the luxury of seamless customer service and all star quality. Usually this quality of service is very hard to find worldwide. What took the Four Seasons Maui to 'that level' of exceptional is the following: (In no particular order the people / groups below took our trip to a "seven star" experience). The Kids Club THE best kids club we have ever seen our boys attend. The planned activities, professionalism of the staff and the venue is unbeatable. This kids club is super safe, super fun and super friendly. Our children have made friends for life and fostered great relationships with the team who run the place. You will NOT find a better kids club in the world that beats this one. We have been everywhere! James Muzika - Director of Rooms There are those 'Hollywood films' where you see the definition of the ultimate customer service played by a British Actor. Usually, well presented where "nothing is a problem." This gentleman (as that is what he is) is a jewel 💎 you never really see in hotels. Maybe once in a lifetime. The biggest heart and compassion you could ask for. Thank you for everything you did and still do for us. He is one of the main reasons why we would come back to the hotel. If you visit here ask for James, you will soon realise how great your trip will be. He is pure class. Daniel Rostetter - Guest Experience Manager I would say James and Daniel come 'hand in hand.' The ultimate duo. Daniel is exceptional and a seasoned pro in the hotel industry and beyond. Well presented and incredibly intelligent. Like James, he has every corner of the hotel covered and in particular he knows each guest by first names / interests. Daniel is someone you could sit with all day because he is just a great guy. Under Daniel's watch the guest experience is unforgettable. James / Daniel are rare. Lenny Frasquillo - Director of Recreation (Pool and Beach) Lenny. Pure in nature and simply wants you to have the best time. He makes himself known and spends a lot of time to make sure you have the best possible experience. He is also very well respected by his team that says a lot about his nature and testament to his personality. Everything runs smooth with him. Nohea Bachiller - Adult Pool Server In his mid 20s this guy behaves like he has been in the industry for 30 years. He is pro active, punctual and professional. He could hold down any job in the hotel biz with his eyes shut. He just "gets it" and nothing is a problem at all. You will not see someone like Nohea often, he's one of those guys who puts others first and clearly has a passion for his work. Joe Hurst This guy is regimented, a leader and all around legend. He seems to be everywhere and continuously makes himself known to make sure everything is good. He clearly is talented at what he does and makes sure everyone and everything runs perfect. He never stops working on customer care and everything at the pools / beyond is safe under his watch. Gideon Rosal He makes his role look so easy. He seems to do miles around pool and he's far from lazy. This guy does not stop. Always checking in on you and at the adult pool you're dealing with all kinds of people and personalities. He manages everyone with respect, professionalism and passion. Nothing is ever a problem with Gideon, he wants everyone to have a great time. He puts his heart and soul into his job. He is well valued by the Four Seasons guests. Felix Campos He is an 'operator.' Relentlessly working around the property making sure everyone is safe and secure. Resolving any questions and make sure everyone is having a brilliant day. He clearly is very humble and continues to support the hotel with his skill and expertise. Obviously, there are many others at the hotel whom are exceptional but the named parties above stood out for that "extra level" of service that you do not seen often. The hotel is very lucky to have these employees as they are the "oil" that keeps this hotel engine going. Nobody asked me to write a review, I wrote it because I so impressed. Best wishes, Adam

From the moment we drove onto the property until the day we departed, we had such a wonderful experience and created lifelong memories—not just for our family, but also with the Four Seasons Maui at Wailea. The warm welcome and smiles from every employee here are truly out of this world. Without a doubt, it’s a “peaceful” and happy place for a spring break. The helpful concierge, always-available front desk, attention to detail by housekeeping, dedicated restaurant servers, pool attendants who went out of their way to make our kids happy, the unique display of local artists, and the well-cared-for gardens and plants—all of these made our stay unforgettable. There are so many wonderful things to mention! Thank you, Four Seasons Maui at Wailea. We deeply appreciate everyone’s hard work and dedication in making our stay extraordinary. Mahalo.

Have been fortunate enough to stay here multiple times. It is one of the nicest resorts we have ever stayed and the best we've stayed at in Hawaii. Beautiful area with great beach and beach walk. Multiple pools with a separate adult pool which has a great view. Service is consistently good without being too intrusive. Yes it's expensive but worth the splurge.

"Another Unforgettable Stay at Four Seasons Wailea"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5
Reviewed March 16, 2025 NEW
We absolutely love the Four Seasons Wailea and have been returning to this stunning resort for over 20 years. It has been a special place for us both before we had kids and now with our family. We've had the pleasure of staying here 12-14 times (I've honestly lost count), and each visit has been exceptional. The hotel's open-air concept, paired with breathtaking views, makes it truly special. However, it's the exceptional staff that makes this place feel like a second home. This year's highlights included a seamless check-in with Josh, during which we received an upgrade we greatly appreciated. We were welcomed back with a treat in our room and our daughter was surprised with a birthday treat on her birthday. Poolside was made even more enjoyable by Carina, Rachel, and Crispy, who all provided excellent, friendly service. Our outrigger canoe adventure with Mike and Paul was amazing—especially when Mike caught a fish and an octopus! We loved spending time around the pool daily, and it was delightful to see Rowana handing out treats. Many of the employees have been here for years, and it's always a pleasure to see familiar faces. Spago remains a favorite, and during this trip, Jafit provided amazing and accommodating service. They even prepared our favorite seafood risotto, which is no longer on the menu. Poke cones are another favorite, along with the stunning views from the patio. Due to the time difference, we were up early and reserved two chairs and a complimentary cabana daily. The cabana was perfect for escaping the sun when needed, and we all enjoyed it. We loved having lunch by the pool most days. The Beachwalk Café is also great for quick boxed lunches or sweet treats. Our girls, now teenagers, enjoyed the snow cones on several occasions. While they enjoy slightly different activities at the resort now compared to when they were younger, this place is still their favorite. Housekeeping and nightly turndown service were impeccable and added to the overall comfort of our stay. The beach is wonderful with its soft sand. We spent a lot of time walking along the shore and appreciated the opportunity to snorkel right off the beach. One afternoon, we escaped to the adult pool, which has an infinity pool and bar—again, with stunning views. Evenings in the Lobby Lounge, with its great food, cocktails/mocktails, live music, and stunning views of the hotel grounds and ocean, were a highlight. We watched every sunset either from the beach or the Lobby Lounge, which was the perfect way to end each day. We loved our lunch on the day of our arrival at Ferraro's—excellent food, service, and views. A special shoutout to Jack from Colorado for great lunch service at Ferraro's. We also had dinner there, but it didn't quite match the excellence of our lunch experience. We cannot wait to return. Mahalo, Four Seasons Wailea, for consistently providing us with unforgettable experiences and memories.
