Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Key West rooms are decorated in vibrant colors and include coffee-making facilities. Select rooms have private balconies. Guests can relax on the large sun terrace beside the pool or use cardio equipment and free-weights in the fitness center. After reading the reviews, I was really afraid to stay at this hotel. However, I found check-in to be quick, the pool and bar area to be really nice and the beds to be comfortable. The shuttle to Duval and the beach were the best feature of the hotel. We used it daily. The rooms were dated, but we found them to be clean. We did have an issue on the first night getting into our room as the card reader's battery went dead. The front desk called maintenance and the gentleman was there quickly to resolve the issue. Breakfast was "ok". There were lots of options, but since I am gluten intolerant, it was a little bit harder for me to find something to eat. Overall, this is a decent place to stay. We did not plan on spending much time in our rooms, so overall, our experience at this hotel was decent.

Disappointed in Marriot. Fan in room was filthy. Pictures very misleading. On highway which was very noisy. Balcony which was extra money was shared and for didn't lock normally. Very strange inn. Won't recommend this inn although the shuttle to town was great.

This hotel was truly dreadful. We booked as Marriott platinum Members, hoping for a nice experience, we visited Key West many times and stayed in the Hyatt and the Hilton and we were hoping for something similar. We booked a King suite that showed a balcony and a lovely view and arrived, put in a room with a view of a road and AC unit and a papa Johns the room was dingy old-fashioned and the faucet was broken so they had to get maintenance in the guest laundry. Had a broken washing machine and only took coins. This hotel needs some work doing and we will never return and I wouldn’t recommend anybody staying here.

Most everything about this place is dirty. We asked for the floor to be cleaned because it was filthy. When we arrived back after they cleaned the floor was dirtier than we left it. They mopped the floor but walked on it when it was wet. The front desk people are nice but the cleaning staff is unfriendly. Towels seem to be in limited supply - we were consistently given one washcloth for two people. (We stayed five nights). This is the second time we stayed here and will be looking for a new place in the future.

We stayed here recently on a trip to the Keys. We were avoiding staying in Old Town due to the cost and picked this place. Our room was clean and quiet. The staff were friendly. We got a text asking us when we planned on checking in and I responded. We got a response saying they would text us when our room was ready. We didn't hear anything and proceeded to check in at the check in time anyway. An hour after checking in we got a text that our room was ready....odd. The pool was clean and it was nice to take advantage of it at 8PM when the crowds were gone. You can save the cost of parking downtown by using their shuttle but you have to check in so they can put you on the list. Don't try to use it without checking in as some people got turned away. Overall it was a good stay!
