"Sunny Mornings with Steve"

The Embassy Suites provides a substantial buffet breakfast which is a real treat. However, the real treat for me, each morning of our stay was being greeted by Steve A. His smile and welcome, made the breakfast and the day start off on a high note. The hotel itself was a joy to be in. Well located and plenty of space and amenities in the room.

Great place! Convenient to the arena. Amazing staff at check in, Bob at valet was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great, made to order. Room and view was super. Comfy beds, clean room, and the whole aesthetic of the place is lovely. We went for a concert and it was super convenient to just quickly walk to and from the arena. Loved it and will definitely be back.

Front desk guys are the best! This review is a bit delayed, but I'm the race announcer for the Publix Gasparilla Distance Classic and am fortunate to be booked at this Embassy Suites each year. The rooms are big, comfy, and clean, which I love. The location is perfect too. However, each year, Robert and the other amazing men at the front desk are so sweet, helpful, and professional. They are quick, friendly, and help me with all sorts of little things when I have requests. Your valets and bellmen are superb as well. The building itself is fantastic, but your staff is what makes it special. I can't wait to get back in 2026.

"Decent stay with two young kids"

We had a decent stay at the Embassy Suites Downtown Tampa in March 2025 with my two young kids. Pros: -Walking distance to Amalie Arena. Great for attending a hockey game or concert. -Rooms/beds are comfortable enough. -Trolley stop outside the hotel Cons: -Free breakfast isn't great, reminds me of a college dorm. Coffee ran out at breakfast and nobody was around to refill. -Pool was CLOSED during a weekend in March which is prime spring break. No advanced notice by management, we were told upon check-in. -I had an unapproved charge on my bill that I discovered after I checked out. I called a few hours after check out, was told I'd be contacted by a manager and nobody ever called me back. There's a good chance I'd book here again if I were going to Amalie Arena again or needed to be downtown, but wouldn't book here if you want a nice hotel w/ a big pool as the pool (when it's open) is really small. Overall the stay was positive but I would do more research before booking here again as there might be other better options in the same area. It seemed pretty expensive for what we got.

I'm only writing this because Steve A. (the supervisor downstairs during breakfast) was so kind and helpful. The omelette station made that an excellent breakfast offering btw. The hotel overall is nice. Great location and I was happy to have a exercise room. Whoever has the authority to do so, PLEASE replace the exercise mat in there. The one there now has provided a great service but is begging to be retired. I ended up getting a meal at the hotel restaurant Taste and the mini tostada dish was excellent. The fish entree, not bad. Priced accordingly for this area (high). I don't have anything bad to say about the place. Our room is nice, every employee I've talked to has been pleasant and helpful. I would stay here again.
