Doubletree by Hilton Orlando at SeaWorld

Starting with the room we made a reservation for. Upon arrival the room was not available for us and they told me they only have one handicap accessible room available. We initially purchased a room in the tower. Which now wasn’t available. Horrible customer service. No one on the same page. Watching my account they put holds on my account three times. Within four days. Don’t use a bank card make sure it’s a credit card with a high balance because they don’t have proper business practices where you know what is being charged. Probably the worst experience I’ve ever had with Hilton.

I stayed at the double tree and they issued a key to my room to another person they were aware of it but management told me nothing after being told they would call me to inform me about the investigation…Security over heard me speaking of the event while waiting for police to show up and decided to share with me what happened..… my $2500 purse was stolen along with thousands of dollars in items that was in the bag…I was not in the room longer than three hours when this happened only went to the bar and when I returned to my room I was unable to enter because my keys were deactivated due to them issuing my keys too someone else… my stolen credit card was used at a Walmart in Orlando. I was there for my birthday and was not able to do anything I planned my whole trip was ruined and my anxiety medication was in the bag which caused me a lot of emotional distress… I have documents and recordings of being told they issued a key too someone else and deactivated mine… if a lawyer or social media influencer would like too reach out to me they would be helpful I have not been compensated for nothing and corporate told me the would reach out in 48 hours and have not done so…it’s as if they don’t even care… I’m extremely traumatized over this event being that they gave a key to an obvious criminal and allowed them to enter my room jeopardizing my safety…The world should know this hotel (double tree by sea world) is not safe!!!

We were lucky to be served by Edward. From the first moment he was very kind, attentive and professional. He was always willing to help us with a smile and made sure that everything was perfect during our stay. Without a doubt, people like him make the experience much more pleasant.

This "Resort" is absolute garbage. And the word resort here is used very loosely, there is nothing about this place that is a "Resort". They charge you a crazy Resort fee, and most of their amenities are damaged, broken or run down. They advertise mini golf, in truth it is nine holes. Holes clumped very closely together, in an area that is not decorated or maintained at all. It was impossible to play because the ground underneath the AstroTurf was full of rocks and bunched up. They claim to have a pool table, the pool table is about 4 and 1/2 ft, they don't have the correct number of pool balls, in all of the sticks they had were broken with no tips. The ping pong table was leveled out by sitting on a rock. The room itself was nice enough, but the sink in the bathroom didn't drain. And they claim to have given us a room upgrade, but the upgrade was really just a room in the main tower overseeing the roof of their main lobby. It was awful to look at. We booked a room that had a full kitchen, we were not given one. There was an awful ticking and clinking sound in the room all night long. It was impossible to get any one in the main lobby to answer the phone, at one point. After calling for an hour straight we had to get the kids out of bed and go down to the lobby to ask for assistance. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Worst Hilton experience I've ever had. The entire staff just tries to sell you rental cars, tickets, upgrades, etc. My flight in got delayed, and upon check-in, they claimed they ran out of king rooms, which is what I had reserved. Fine I'll take 2 queens. You do not stay in the tower that appears to be a normal double tree. You stay in the motel buildings surrounding the tower. The room was humid and mildew/mold smell and the linens/pillows smelled awful. I reached out to Hilton the next morning. They said there was nothing they could do since I already checked in and stayed a night.
