"Excellent Room Service and clean rooms!"

I stay at this hotel for business purposes. It’s close to one of my work locations however theres not much to do in the area nor good places to eat nearby. Therefore it’s important for the hotel to have a decent restaurant inside. I like this hotel because they have a restaurant and bar, a small but decent gym, and the hotel and rooms are clean. Since I generally go back to my room in the evening to work, I prefer room service. This hotel has excellent room service, the food is good and the customer service is above and beyond. Ron is amazing, he always makes sure that my food is well prepared and offers great service. The only reason I rate this hotel a 4 vs a 5 is because of the front desk service. Although they are kind, I constantly have issues with the billing with fees that don’t pertain to me. Overall the room service and cleanliness is enough to keep me booking there. You can either park at the hotel or across the street at the parking structure. There’s train noise at night but it doesn’t bother me.

Hilton Doubletree is walking distance to the Gallo Center, where I saw a concert. There are many restaurants in the area. I felt safe in the hotel and in the downtown neighborhood. Rooms are comfortable. Key card access to hotel floors is good for safety. In season the pool and hot tub are great. Valet parking is only slightly more than garage parking; I recommend it.

The hotel restaurant is worth visiting. Friendly staff and excellent food. We normally don’t eat at hotel restaurants except for breakfast. This one has nice wine selection and very good food. Braised short ribs are amazing. Ron is very attentive and eager to please.

If you want to spend the night with bugs, spiders, cockroaches and other mysterious insects this is the place for you. It all started on the first night while we were getting ready to sleep and found a huge spider in the bed. Upon further inspection many more were discovered lurking on the dark and filthy carpet, on the wall behind the pictures and in the bathroom. Upon complaining to the front desk we were told that there is nothing they can do since it was late and the hotel was fully booked. Even after the pest control came next day the insects persisted and made our stay horrible. In addition the drain in the tub was partially blocked and the blower in the bathroom did not work. We travel a lot and have never experienced a branded hotel to be so neglected, filthy and moldy. Staff was unsympathetic and unhelpful. Message we got was if we did not like it we can check out. I will never stay there again!

"Rave upstairs"

We were in town for one night for a friend's retirement party. Check-in was great and we appreciated the warm cookies. However, when we returned back later that night we noticed quite a lot of people outside of the hotel and in the lobby. We went to bed around 11:00 and about a hour or so later the noise started. Neighbors slamming doors and tvs to loud - we realize this happens. Then the loud music started and it sounded like the people upstairs were having a rave. Not only was there LOUD music but someone on a microphone as well. We tried calling to the front desk but our room phone did not work. We lasted until 5:30 am and then we got up and left - it was nuts. We will never go back and may re-think using Hilton hotels.
