"BEWARE of Doubletree Hilton Bristol"

BEWARE of Doubletree Hilton Bristol!! After booking a reservation labeled as non-refundable from a third-party service that Doubletree Bristol accepted, when I arrived late at night, without telling me, they released that reservation and charged me for another one. Oddly, they also could not give me a room key, but instead had a staff person walk me to a room and let me in, which has never happened to me during my dozens or hundreds of stays at other hotel. When I spoke to the manager, she assured me that I was not billed a second time and told inconsistent stories about what she saw in their computer system. I never authorized a second charge. Contrary to that manager's statements, however, my credit card company informed me that I was double-billed, which took hours of work to correct. Oddly, the same manager changed her story with Hilton's customer service several times, and made this all more complicated than it had to be. Rather than express regret or empathy, this manager raised her voice telling me repeatedly that I "do not understand" their computer system. Someone needs to train the management there about customer service and respect, but if you don't want to have an odd stay and to spend weeks reviewing your credit card bills, I finish where I started, BEWARE of Doubletree Hilton Bristol!

"Good stay for a conference next door"

I was attending a conference at the event center in the same complex and had a couple of options in the area to choose from. I was glad I chose the Doubletree given its proximity and all around good hotel. The lobby was very nice and modern. I didnt go to the sports grill in the lobby but looked like a good place to eat, drink and watch a game. The room was an ok size. It was quiet from the outside and the hallway. There were plenty of different lighting options in the room. The bed and pillows were comfortable. And the heat/AC unit in the room was fairly quiet and was able to keep a steady temperature with a Fan setting. If I'm here for the annual conference another time, I'd be happy to stay at this hotel again.

"Great Hotel Stay for a Wedding Block!"

The wedding block of hotel rooms was here because they would accommodate the number of rooms we needed. The customer service at the hotel was terrific from the moment we checked in until we checked out. The staff was helpful with ensuring our guests received their welcome bags, even for the guests who were not part of the wedding block. And on departure, the general manager helped to pack up our goodie bags and even carried them to our car. Any issue we had was easily resolved. The rooms were comfortable and requests for adjoining/nearby rooms were honored. All of the staff members we encountered were welcoming and helpful. When booking the rooms it was suggested that the bride and groom book adjoining suites so the female bridal party could utilize the space for hair and makeup. This worked out perfectly! Our only disappointment was that the wedding block rooms did not include a complimentary breakfast meal.

"Horrible Check In - Incompetence"

This is my second absolutely horrific check-in experience with this hotel. Management can’t get the reservation information straight apparently and front desk is powerless without calling daddy. They had me down for two rooms when I could clearly show them on my phone that I only reserved one room. After much argument they were ‘so kind’ to waive charging me the second room. Unreal. This is last time I will ever stay here. I will be a lifetime Diamond next year and I can say that this is the ONLY Hilton property with consistently horrible front desk/reservation management. Horrible.

"Amazing hotel stay"

The staff here is so kind, thoughtful and knowledgeable! From Stan at the front desk when we arrived, who answered my call each time I called to say we would be arriving later, to Kevin in the restaurant who was so friendly and helpful, to Anna, also in the restaurant, who guided our choices perfectly!! Our rooms were perfect. The food was great and those warm cookies are the bomb!! Thank you all!!
