Description

This Diamondback Gulch Tour brings the Arizona high country to life with a rugged off-road adventure. Step into one of the open-air Pink Jeep Wranglers and buckle up – you’re about to see why this tour offers something for everyone.

As you start out, your personal Certified Interpretive Guide will point out some of Sedona’s most iconic red-rock formations. You’ll also pass scenic Boynton Canyon, a setting for the 1947 John Wayne film, “Angel and the Badman” and the site of hidden ancient ruins. Mingus Mountain and the Black Hills appear in the distance, standing watch over the peaceful Verde Valley.

After arriving in Coconino National Forest, you’ll head down the rugged and remote Greasy Spoon trail. A section of the original wagon route between Sedona and Prescott, this century-old trail stretches back to an era before Arizona was a state. Catch glimpses of a colorful past when the cliffs, canyons, and forests were wild, uncharted territory and 50,000 Texas longhorn cattle roamed the land.

Continue on to Sidewinder Trail, where the rocky terrain falls into Diamondback Gulch—a deep ravine that slices through the land. Hold on while your guide expertly navigates the steep descent into the chasm before climbing out again. Expansive views greet you on the other side; the fiery red-rock trail contrasts the cool green of the native landscape and the brilliant blue sky.

Finally, an easy ride from the forest back to Sedona will give you plenty of time to catch your breath, steady your feet and plan your next off-road adventure with Pink Jeep Tours.

This was our third trip to Sedona, but our first experience on a Pink Jeep Tour. The Broken Arrow Jeep Tour sounded dangerous and scary, but the ad photos were enticing. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It was a bumpy ride, but thanks to David, our guide, we never felt unsafe. With 14 years of experience. he had the strategies to avoid dust in our faces and to stop at the best places to get out for close-up views and outstanding photos.

Our Pink Jeep Tour in Sedona was an unforgettable adventure! Our driver was fantastic—fun, knowledgeable, and full of interesting facts about the area. They took us to incredible places we never could have reached on our own, giving us a whole new appreciation for Sedona’s stunning landscapes. The two-hour tour flew by because we were having such a great time! The off-roading was thrilling but still felt safe, and the views were absolutely breathtaking. If you’re visiting Sedona, this is a must-do experience. Highly recommend!

The cliff dwelling was amazing, and our guide, Laura, really brought the ancient culture alive by showing us the cliff paintings, and in discussing the ways of the people who lived there 1000 years ago. She enlightened us about the unique geology that produced the breathtaking red rocks. The drive itself, and the scenic vistas, were awe inspiring. I recommend this adventure to people of all ages.

"Shared access road"

This morning, while hiking down the access road from Devil's Bridge, my experience with a Pink Jeep Tours vehicle was disappointing. As we were walking approximately two feet from the road's edge, a Pink Jeep tour guide drove by and said something that was just loud enough for his group to hear. When we asked what he said, he replied, "The hiking trail is over there. It would be a safer choice. As you can imagine, his voice was not that of a concerned individual. We were walking against traffic due to the terrain and the road being wide. Therefore, the tour guide had his entire right-hand side of the road to himself, but felt the need to drive within 4 feet of us. While I understand the need to maintain safety, a more considerate approach to pedestrians on shared access roads would greatly enhance the overall experience. Dry Creek Road is considered a hiking trail on hiking apps. Our experience this morning eliminates the need to ever consider doing business with a Pink Jeep Tour.
