"On the Downside of Good."

This is the second time we stayed at the Country Inn in the past two years. It is no longer a Radisson property; it is now a Choice Hotel property. We’ve seen a remarkable degradation in the condition of the property in that time. The property is starting to look long in the tooth. Carpeting is dirty and needs shampooing. Furniture is becoming quite shopworn. Grout in the shower walls is falling out. Hallway ceiling bulbs are burned out. We checked in on Thursday and immediately received text messages saying housekeeping was done every three days. OK, so on Sunday we spoke directly to a housekeeper (in Spanish), before 11 AM and asked her to clean our room, requested towels and toilet paper. Returned to our room at 8 PM and no work has been done. Really unhappy about this.

Parking was plentiful. Front desk people efficient & friendly. The room was clean & well appointed. Breakfast was very nice & had different things on all 3 mornings of our stay & included eggs, sausage, potatoes, biscuits & gravy. Pool area has 2 pools & 2 hot tubs & there is a fire pit outside & a fireplace inside to enjoy at night. Hotel is attached to an ihop & TGI Friday & right across the street from the MOA. Hotel shuttle driver took us to Metro Transit station for a $2 ride round trip to US Bank Stadium. All in all a very nice stay.

We had a large family reunion over a weekend at this hotel. The location was perfect - easy free shuttle or light rail trip from the airport. Across the street from MOA for fun activities for all, pool for the kids, fire pit, a good included breakfast, comfortable large rooms and beds - and at a very reasonable rate. But, what really makes this hotel outstanding is the staff. Every single member of the staff went above and beyond to provide truly exceptional customer service. Latanya was completely amazing in helping us plan - she was very friendly, responsive, accommodating, and thorough. During our stay, Pierre and the rest of the front desk staff handled our requests graciously and with a smile. The maintenance, cleaning and shuttle staff were also super friendly and helpful. All-in-all, just great! Thanks to everyone for making our weekend a success!

"Awesome clean hotel right across from the Mall of America!"

Shuttle driver was fast and efficient! Check in was also fast and friendly! The room was perfectly clean! The bed and pillows were super comfortable! The microwave and fridge worked very well also and was quite handy! The breakfast was tasty and hot and went all the way until 10am on the weekends! Location was perfect, about a 10 minute or less walk from the Mall of America! Light rail station is right by the mall and takes you to the airport and Downtown Minneapolis! Lots of restaurants inside the MOA I especially liked the Cadillac Ranch happy hour! Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Twin Cities!

Having stayed at a Country Inn & Suites in another location, I had high hopes for this stay. The front staff is very friendly and generally helpful; the hotel is close to the Mall of America (quick walk across the street). This hotel, however, did not meet my expectations. The shuttle from the airport only picks up once per hour, apparently, so we had a long wait. When we finally arrived, the front desk staff were very nice- we were greeted enthusiastically and given directions to the mall. We went to drop our bags and realized we were in for a poor night's sleep. Although our room was spacious enough, everything was shabby and run-down. The mattress and pillows were awful (squeaky and worn bed; flat pillows). It happened to be in the high 70s that evening and the temperature in the room was uncomfortably warm. There was no way to actually control the thermostat, as far as we could tell. Changing the settings did nothing. We called down but were told there was nothing to be done. When we pressed, they manually changed the AC. (It took six hours for the temperature to drop four degrees.) Needless to say, we did not sleep well and would not recommend this hotel. I wish we had opted for the Radisson Blu.
