"Rating gets lower every year as well as the magic"

My wife and I come here for Winterfest every year and to be honest, the rating and magic goes down every year. By far not the same park from when I was a kid. Poorly maintained, so much of the staff have no clue what they’re doing, and budget clearly goes down every year, there was so many things closed for no reason. Was also not happy about being in line for Thunder Run and there was an altercation between a customer and the ride operators….in my opinion it was so poorly handled, it took security WAY too long to get there, holding up everyone in line and on the ride. Robbed us of 30 minutes of the little park time we had. Food (other than in the market) is overpriced and just awful, we didn’t even eat there this year. All they have to offer is cheap photo ops. Tickets are overpriced, especially the parking. The only things we enjoy about this Winterfest now is the Christmas Market, skating, and Thunder Run. This will be our last year going for a long time.

The park was decorated for Christmas and was themed Winter Wonderland. The decorations were beautiful and the staff was amazing. Many of the larger rides were shut down for the season. We expected more rides to be open as the website had not been updated for the winter season. The staff informed us that the app has the most up to date information, so make sure to check it out for future visits.

What a disappointment, Canada’s Wonderland is the pits. We went for the Halloween Haunt and in the five hours we were there the kids got on three rides. Understandably it’s busy and we would have dropped the extra $ to get a fast pass but it wasn’t easily accessible through the website. And neither was the map. The bathrooms were difficult to find and need a facelift. THEY DON’T SERVE WINE! And the food was trash. Hot dog, more like cold dog. Total trash.

"Halloween Haunt sucks."

To start off… I would’ve given this review zero stars, but that was not an option. This was an absolute horrible experience, do not waste your money. My friends and I went for Halloween Haunt as we heard it was a fun experience. Just to get into the park was $97 after taxes, almost a hundred dollars. We were there for around five hours and how many rides did we go on? One. Not only that but the food and drinks are crazy expensive. Why on earth is one slice of mediocre PizzaPizza, $12? Let’s compare… a medium pepperoni pizza (8 slices) at a Pizza Pizza outside of the parks is $12.29. So genuinely, what are they doing charging that price when it is already insanely expensive to just enter the park. I better be pooping out gold bars later. So to give everybody a timeline of how our night went… The first thing we did was wait in line for the Leviathan for literally 3 hours. Then we got a singular slice of pizza, and then went in line for Yukon Striker. After we waited around an hour and a half, we then realized we weren’t even halfway done the line and our ride was coming in about ten minutes. Okay chill. You know you’re cooked when even the fast pass lane is wrapping around the corner. That means they are selling way too many fast pass tickets and wasting their money as well. There must be some sort of limit to how many tickets are sold per night as it is incredibly hard to walk anywhere without feeling like I have some rando breathing down my neck. So yeah…don't waste your money on this.
