How to Choose Your Hotel
Room Rates
First things first! You have to set a budget. Asking questions like how many days you will be staying in the hotel and how many rooms you need to book will help you set a budget. Do the kids need a separate room? Or are you looking for a spacious room where everyone can stay?
Hotel Location
If you know the exact location of the places you will be visiting during your trip, you can narrow down your choice of hotels. Hotels located on International Drive are conveniently located near top attractions in Orlando. Madame Tussauds Orlando at ICON Park, Ripley’s Believe It or Not!, and SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium are just some of the attractions around I-Drive Orlando.
International Drive hotels are also an ideal choice for people traveling for work. The Orange County Convention Center, the primary public convention center in this part of Florida, is within easy walking and driving distance of most hotels on International Drive.
Hotel Room
The room that you book is eventually going to be the place where you are going to spend your time resting. The room’s specifications–from size, ambiance, and furniture–should be to your liking.

If you are spending a week or more at the hotel, you will likely need a sizeable wardrobe where you can store your clothes and accessories. If you brought your kids’ toys with you and they require floor space, then you’d need a spacious enough room to walk around without stepping on legos, barbies, or that mini-slide that just had come with.
Additionally, you might be someone who takes out food more often and needs a decent-sized fridge to store those meals. Make sure to view the gallery of the room that you’re planning to book, check its square feet, and don’t be shy to inquire with the hotel if you have more questions.
Work-friendly Spaces
Can’t leave work at home? Or Traveling exclusively for work? Free wifi, great lighting for those video meetings, and a comfortable workspace are essential when scouting out accommodations for your Orlando sojourn.
Facilities and Amenities
Hotels that adapt to guests’ wants offer facilities and amenities that make your stay comfortable and convenient. For example, if you’re the kind of person who needs access to gym equipment every day, check out which among your choice of hotels has the best fitness center.

If you’re someone who likes getting a massage after a long day, it’s a must for your hotel to have a spa & wellness center (and a room-service massage, too, if you like!). Or, if you’ve only brought with you a few clothes and are likely to need access to the nearest laundry facility, it’s best to stay at a hotel that offers one.
Make a list of everything you expect your hotel to have, and then start choosing accommodations from there.
Dining Options
Some days (or nights), you just don’t feel like going the distance for a meal. When everyone’s exhausted from the day’s tours, it’s best to stay within the hotel’s vicinity for a quick bite. Some hotels have multiple dining options, from multi-award restaurants to quick service popular with kids.
Hotel Reviews
Taking the time to scan online reviews of the hotels will, frankly, save you from disappointments. Guest feedback can tell you more about the hotel’s overall service, facilities, and room quality than the official hotel website.
