Zoo Lights San Antonio: 2024 Guide

With thousands of colorful lights and shimmering decorations spread throughout, San Antonio Zoo – Zoo Lights is nothing short of pure holiday magic!

Marvel at life-sized animal lanterns such as a 15-foot-tall giraffe, pay a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, or snap San Antonio Zoo photos or wander in the 124-foot light tunnel. While taking in the beauty and splendor of 32-foot LED trees and other light displays, enjoy hot cocoa and roasted s’mores.

Holiday Sing-A-Long Express: Enjoy a festive adventure with the Holiday Sing-A-Long Express! This delightful experience is available daily within zoo operating hours as you travel through the historic Brackenridge Park, singing along to your favorite festive live music.

IllumiLIFE: Illuminated Paintings of Wildlife: Journey through an enchanting museum filled with awe-inspiring, larger-than-life mixed-media illustrations of creatures like the Asian elephant, Western lowland gorilla, Komodo dragon, Sumatran Tiger, and more.

Water Wonderland: Dive into a thrilling underwater adventure where the enchanting world of jellyfish, turtles, fish, and a colossal whale comes to life, turning the pathway into a captivating water wonderland with stunning water effects.

Cowboy’s Peppermint Path: Let the enchantment of red and white San Antonio Zoo Christmas lights guide you along the path, as they transform buildings and trees into a whimsical candy cane festival. While you explore, make a pit stop at Tinsel Tots in Riverview Restaurant, a shop tailored for young ones to pick out the best gifts with the help of cheerful elves!

Starry Safari: Step into the world of the savanna, where life-sized illuminated animal portraits come to life. Be sure to catch sight of the two impressive 15-foot giraffes in Starry Safari and the magnificent larger-than-life Elephant displays. Behold as light-up monkeys playfully swing overhead, and bright hippos play in the waters below.

Polar Point: Be whisked away to the Arctic as you enter Polar Point, illuminated by a sea of blue LED lights and adorned with frosty decors. Explore the walkthrough tunnel and encounter the impressive giant snowmen that line your path!

Fa La La Flamingo: Fa La La Flamingo is your destination for decking the halls with boundless smiles! New for this year, the park introduces 36 larger-than-life light-up flamingos that will brighten your day.

Lakeside Lightshow: The Lakeside Light Show is back, and it’s bringing high energy! With pixel technology and a tailor-made soundtrack featuring Christmas and Latin tunes, you won’t be able to resist getting up and grooving to the beat.

FAO Schwarz Tony Parker Animal Collection: Renowned former Spurs point guard and dedicated zoo supporter, Tony Parker, has made a generous gesture by contributing his exceptional collection of plush animals to Zoo Lights. Check out and snap selfies with the larger-than-life animals in the Beastro Restaurant.

North Pole: Santa has brought the holiday spirit to the Zoo Light! Come and share your Christmas wishes with him, and don’t forget to take a memorable photo on his sleigh.

Camel Trek: Enjoy an unforgettable adventure with camel rides amidst the incredible holiday light displays that have transformed Kronkosky’s Tiny Tot Nature Spot into a holiday Camel Trek. You can enjoy camel rides daily from noon until the zoo closes, with each ride priced at $10 per person.

Festive Eats: Warm up with a delightful treat of hot cocoa and cookies, and don’t forget to savor some delicious s’mores. For those looking for classic burgers and pizza, Beastro Restaurant is the place to be.
