Disneyland Food and Wine Festival 2025: Sip, Snack, and Swoon Through California Adventure

Katherine: I’m not saying I planned my entire year around this, but… I absolutely planned my entire year around this. And it was worth it for that Mickey macaron alone. It changed my life.

If you’ve never experienced the magic of the Disneyland Food and Wine Festival, prepare yourself: this is not your average theme park snack crawl. It’s a full-on, flavor-packed, foodie fever dream that takes over Disney California Adventure from February 28 through April 21, 2025.

Whether you’re sipping wine in the California sunshine, trying new bites at the Festival Marketplaces, or splitting a Sip and Savor Pass with your bestie like we did, it’s the ultimate upgrade to your Disneyland Resort visit.

And yes, we have thoughts. Lots of them. Let’s eat.

What Is the Disneyland Food and Wine Festival?

The 2025 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival is an annual celebration of California’s culinary culture, and it’s honestly one of the best times to visit the Disneyland Resort. The event is centered around small plates, drinks, and snacks served at themed Festival Marketplaces and select quick-service dining locations throughout the park.

It’s essentially Disneyland’s way of saying, “You didn’t really come for the rides, did you?”

Here’s how it works: You can purchase a Sip and Savor Pass (either 4 or 8 digital coupons) and redeem those for select food and nonalcoholic beverages. You can order ahead, you can share a pass with a friend, and you will end up wishing you had more coupons. Trust us.

The Sip and Savor Breakdown

Here’s the deal:

  • 4-entitlement Sip and Savor Pass: $32 (tax included)
  • 8-entitlement Sip and Savor Pass: $63 (tax included)

Pro Tip: Magic Key holders can snag the 8-coupon version for $58 (must show photo ID and Magic Key pass)

Each pass gives you tasting-size portions at the participating festival marketplaces and select quick-service spots. And while you can’t use the pass for full entrées, souvenirs, or cocktails, it’s perfect for snacking your way through the park.

Just remember: passes are nonrefundable, nontransferable, and expire on April 21, 2025. They’re subject to restrictions and change or cancellation without notice (aka, standard Disney legal magic).

Festival Marketplaces We Loved (and Devoured)

Let’s talk food. Here are a few of the Festival Marketplaces that had us fully spiraling with joy:

🍓 Peppers Cali-Ente

This booth is not for the spice-averse. We tried the chile relleno empanada and may or may not have immediately considered ordering another. It’s smoky, spicy, and everything your post-ride stomach didn’t know it needed.

Golden Dreams

This one always brings elevated, elegant plates to the table. We tried the glazed pork belly and it was melt-in-your-mouth tender with just the right touch of sweetness.

🌮 Mercado de Antojos (New in 2025!)

This new kid on the block brought serious flavor. Mexican street food-inspired bites like elote cups and carnitas nachos? Yes, please. The line was long, but 100% worth the wait.

🍷 Uncork California

A wine-lover’s dream. We grabbed a chilled rosé and wandered the festival grounds feeling like the queens of spring.

🍔 LA Style

This booth nails that urban foodie vibe. Short rib sliders? Don’t mind if we do.

And honorable mentions to Garlic Kissed (those garlic fries are illegal in some states), Cluck-a-Doodle-Moo, and California Craft Brews, because no good festival story starts with someone ordering water.

Dining Locations That Participated

The adventure food and wine scene doesn’t stop at the booths. A bunch of Disney California Adventure’s dining locations also offer Sip and Savor Pass-eligible tasting portions. Some highlights:

  • Paradise Garden Grill
  • Clarabelle’s (hello, hand-scooped ice cream perfection)
  • Award Wieners
  • Smokejumpers Grill
  • Hollywood Lounge
  • Boardwalk Pizza & Pasta
  • Sonoma Terrace — try the Cocktails at Sonoma Terrace Hosted by Corkcicle for drinks that are dangerously easy to love

And yes, you better believe we tracked down churros near Goofy’s Sky School because we are professionals.

Our Absolute Favorite: The Snickers Mickey Macaron

Kelsi: If I could write a love letter to this dessert, I would. And it would have glitter.

The Snickers Caramel-Peanut Milk Chocolate Mickey Macaron was hands down the best thing we ate at the entire Disneyland Food and Wine Festival—and that’s saying something. You can find this masterpiece at the Nuts About Cheese Festival Marketplace, and if you walk past it without ordering, we’re honestly concerned.

It’s a chocolate macaron filled with gooey caramel ganache and actual Snickers pieces, topped with a chocolate drizzle and crushed peanuts. It tastes exactly like a Snickers bar met a Parisian pastry chef and fell in love at first bite.

The texture? Pillowy and rich. The flavor? Chocolatey, nutty, sweet-but-not-too-sweet perfection. The size? Generous enough to share—but do so at your own risk.

Katherine: We took one bite, locked eyes, and immediately said, “Oh my god.”

It’s priced at $6.50, or you can use one of your Sip and Savor Pass tabs. Either way, it’s worth it. Worth the line. Worth the hype. Worth briefly considering whether you could sneak one into your bag for later. (You can’t. We checked.)

Would we go back just for this dessert? Absolutely. Would we split it again? Maybe. If we’re feeling generous.

Where to Get Your Pass

You can purchase a Sip and Savor Pass at:

  • Sip and Savor Cart
  • Elias & Co.
  • Festival Gifts
  • Julius Katz & Sons
  • Seaside Souvenirs
  • All 8 Festival Marketplaces

Each pass is digital, and you’ll enter a 4-digit code when redeeming it. Don’t lose it—it’s not replaceable. (We treated ours like a Golden Ticket.)

Don’t Miss These Extra Tips

  • Order ahead if you can—it’s a game changer
  • Share a Sip and Savor Pass if you want to try more for less
  • Get there early—some lines form 45 minutes before stands open
  • Wear stretchy pants (no explanation needed)

And if you’re staying at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, congratulations, you’re doing life right. Even if you’re not, make time to explore Downtown Disney District before or after your festival day. There’s a whole world of cocktails, snacks, and shopping waiting.

Final Thoughts

Katherine: This isn’t just a food festival. It’s a choose-your-own-snackventure.

Kelsi: I’m already planning next year’s outfits. Plural.

Whether you’re a hardcore foodie, a Disney fanatic, or just here for the churros and cocktails, the Disneyland Food and Wine Festival 2025 delivers on every level. It’s whimsical, well-run, and way more fun than any wine-tasting we’ve ever done in heels.

So grab your pass, grab your bestie, and get ready to taste your way through the magic.

Check the Disney California Adventure Food Wine Festival page for up-to-date info, and we’ll see you there—with macaron crumbs on our faces and zero regrets.
