"Nicer “Disney” Hotel & Convenient Location"

This was our second time staying here. We are a family of 4: 2 adults & 2 teens. We did a split stay: 3 nights at Port Orleans Riverside and 2 nights here. We coordinated our Park days to take advantage of this location, which is walking distance (or a boat ride) to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Highly recommend the boat. We never waited more than 5-10 minutes. And the ride over is about 5-7 minutes. The hotel itself is Westin level and very much has a resort feel. Checkin was fast. And we were able to get a room right away (11:30am). Never had to wait more than 30 seconds for an elevator. Multiple pools, restaurants, and fitness center. We ate at the Cabana pool side restaurant. Service and food were good. The hotel room was freshly renovated. Very clean and modern. Light and bright. Quiet. My only criticisms are 1) there is no fan in the bathroom, which seems crazy for a newly renovated room. It was very steamy and took a while to dry out and 2) as others have mentioned, sadly the beds are not the usual Westin quality. They were very firm and more uncomfortable than lower end Marriotts I have stayed at. Even with these small criticisms, I would definitely stay here again. The location, cleanliness, relaxed vibe, and luxury feel are worth it.

"Lovely location but shame about the bathroom standard and size, plus other issues"

Great Location and lovely communal areas , But That’s Where It Ends The Swan Disney Hotel is in a fantastic location—close to the parks, great views, and easy access to everything. Sadly, that’s about the only thing it gets right. The bathrooms are tiny and very dated—I’ve had more space and comfort on cruise ships. Definitely not what you’d expect at this price. We paid $12 for a fruit salad by the pool, and after a long wait, all we got was a bowl of melon. No variety, no effort, just overpriced disappointment. When I asked for a duvet cover for my daughter’s pull-out bed, housekeeping dropped off the duvet and cover separately and left them on the bed—as if we were expected to make it ourselves. Despite the website claiming the pools are heated, all of them were freezing. And we weren’t the only ones complaining. Room cleaning was basic and always late in the day. When it did, it was very basic—certainly not up to standard for a hotel of this caliber. The most frustrating part? The hotel doesn’t seem to care. It feels like they know they’ll stay booked because of the Disney name, so feedback and complaints are met with indifference. Would not stay here again, and I wouldn’t recommend it unless you only care about location and are willing to accept a subpar experience.

I've stayed here with my family a couple of times. This most recent was a bit more complicated bc of multiple reservations made at different times for different people in my family but the hotel did a great job of keeping everything in order and making sure our rooms were close to each other. Additionally, a shout out to Danny who helped us with our insane number of bags multiple times. Incredibly patient, professional and helpful. Looking forward to my next visit.

We stayed here for a business trip with 1 day for a personal park day. New park lightening passes work really well!! We will return next year for my daughter’s birthday because it’s within walking distance to Hollywood, Epcot and the boardwalk area. Love the convenience. Love the need for no rental car. Tons of food options in the area. Boat transportation is available. Skyliner is near Epcot so that is another transport option. We had a Mears sedan transport us to and from the airport. We had a Mears bus transport us to Disney springs for an event. Excellent service all around!!! Business facilities and food options were excellent. Entire hotel and surrounding areas was exceptionally clean. The staff was very accommodating. The view from Swan Reserve was amazing to watch the fireworks and see the area. Everything was “Disney Magic”!! The ONLY complaint we had (as did many others within our very large group) was the bedding. Idk if this is a Disney change or a Mariott change, but the bed, pillows and bedding were so uncomfortable and the comforter was like sleeping under a tarp. Not joking. The comforter was inside a bag of sorts but the comforter was so heavy it didn’t stay in the bag and continually slid off the bed. The bottom and top sheets wouldn’t stay tucked. The pillows were either lumpy or very flat. It made for a tiring stay. Otherwise the room was amazing. Shower great. Thermostat functional and able to adjust. Extra towel request was honored. Top floor has great views. We’ll be back to the area but I will check bedding before booking. Swan reserve bedding wasn’t like this when we stayed a few years ago.

Edit: I posted my original review and noticed that this hotel showed up with a $100 pending credit to my credit card. I thought maybe they were trying to do the right thing and figured that warranted an update to my review. NOPE! The credit fell off in a day or two. It really concerns me that the hotel kept my credit card information and felt free to use it - even after a month!! Idk if that was supposed to be intimidation or what but it just goes to show that I wish we hadn't stayed here and we won't be back. Original review is below. They said they'll do better in the future but they do not mean it or they would do something to try and ameliorate they bad service we received. Original review: The location of this hotel is excellent but our frustration with inconsistent/contradictory information and services leads me to rate the hotel 2 stars. Bell services made up the rules as they went along which was aggravating. We parked where everyone else parks to checkin but the fellow from bell services told us there was no parking there. I pointed to the 20 other cars parked there and he told me the car in front of ours belonged to the manager. I know I should not engage but I did - I told him that I am aware that all employees, including the manager, must park in the cast member lot. Then he said the car actually belonged to the owner of the hotel. Grrr. Ok so now a publicly traded corporation, the stock of which I have owned in the past, is owned by a person? It’s not. Fine - we decided that we would let it go and not engage. I stepped out to check in while my bf parked the car. The gal at the front desk was great - when we asked where we were supposed to park for checkin, she told us that the area we were first shooed out from was the correct spot. My bf came in and reported that the bell services fellow continued to harass him. I honestly don’t know what the issue was. We weren’t difficult or rude. We are DVC members and have Disney annual passes, so we decided to go to Epcot until our room was ready. The location of the hotel is outstanding and the grounds are beautiful. We came back a little while later, after our room was ready. I asked at the front desk whether we are able to use the luggage carts (like the rest of the Disney hotels) and she told us yes, just let bell services know. We walked to the parking lot and tried to use our room key to exit (like all directions say to do) but it didn’t work. After a long time trying to reach the parking lot help line, the person who answered in very broken English didn’t offer any help. At that point, my bf was yelling at me to tap the card, which I did 100 times and it didn’t work, and the help line guy was useless. My car sat there blocking the exit for what felt like an eternity. Finally I told the help line guy my room number and asked him what the heck the problem was because it’s not my fault the card wasn’t working. He finally opened the gate and we drove around to unload our bags. The bellman outside was super condescending when he told us that we were not allowed to bring our own bags to the room and we had to use bell services. Fine. We did. I decided at that moment we’d never be back. I don’t like to use bell services when I am physically capable of bringing my bags to my room. Others may not feel that way but I do and there’s nothing wrong with that. If the Waldorf Astoria in Boca Raton is fine with it and super on every level, I find it offensive that a lesser hotel is condescending about it. The room was beautiful but (1) very few electrical outlets; (2) the bathroom door doesn’t close unless you slam it and lock it, (3) the tv clicker didn’t work, (4) the phone didn’t work, and (5) I had to call several times (from my cell phone) to get a microwave sent to my room. The AI answering the phone told us that there were microwaves on the 9th and 6th Fl W. So we went in search of them. The AI answering service is giving wrong information. There is one on 6 East but that is too far to be reasonable. There are none on 9 or 6 West. That was wrong and sent my bf on a wild goose chase. When the gal from housekeeping finally brought the microwave after about 40 minutes, she asked if there was anything else we needed. I told her that the clicker didn’t work. That has happened to us at DVC resorts and housekeeping has usually exchanged the remote. However here, the gal told us we’d have to call the engineering department about it. I don’t know how we’d go about doing that. We just made due - some employees were great but there were too many very frustrating annoyances that we figured we’d just checkout the next day and be done with it.
