Contemporary and climate-controlled guest rooms at Walt Disney World Swan feature coffee/tea makers, small refrigerators, and in-room safes. Beds come with pillowtop mattresses, signature bedding, triple sheeting, and goose-down down comforters. Bathrooms feature complimentary toiletries and hair dryers. WiFi is complimentary. In addition to desks and complimentary newspapers, guest rooms offer multi-line phones with voice mail. Rooms also include irons/ironing boards and clock radios. Decent enough sized room with a small balcony. Great bed. Shower in the bath tub is never ideal. Polite staff. The hotel itself is way too cold, there’s no need to crank up the A/C to this extent. My main criticism is their pricing structure, so know this: if you self-park a car here, then your eventual bill will be about $90 more per day than you thought it would be: that’s about $50 daily for the ‘resort fee’ - a scam to artificially reduce the apparent room rate, and a further $40 to self-park your car. And before the hotel claim that the resort fee is for the use of the ‘hotel facilities’, we were restricted in our use of the sitting areas outside for 40% of our stay, because of ‘corporate functions’. And whilst I understand the need of hotels to welcome corporations, the least they should do is to warn guests that their facilities will be restricted, and (here’s an idea) reduce their resort fees to compensate. There was also a large crane positioned near our room hauling stuff up to the roof of the hotel starting very early - no warning, and obviously no apology. I did make a very polite complaint to an astonished member of staff who promised follow up…and guess what? The ‘coffee shop’ on the ground floor sells coffee and snacks at extortionate prices so go prepared. Overall, the impression is simply a place which is totally geared to take as much money from you as they can. I’ll never go back there.

This was our second time staying at the Swan, and we liked it even better than the first time. We stayed in a newly renovated alcove room, which was on a corner overlooking Crescent Lake, the Dolphin, the beach area, and the Swan courtyard. From our balcony we could watch the boats heading out towards Epcot or Hollywood Studios, and people heading out to the Boardwalk. The room itself was spacious, with 2 TVs, lots of windows, and a large sitting area. The bathroom had a walk-in shower, with a second vanity just outside the bathroom door. Having 2 sinks was definitely handy in the morning. The hotel itself is beautiful and well kept up, with a handy little store called Java on the first floor that had coffee, drinks, alcohol, snacks, and food-to-go. There are even more casual food options over at the Dolphin, which seemed to have a busy bar scene in the lobby. The Swan is a lot quieter, which we liked. In terms of location, getting to Epcot or Hollywood Studios is a breeze, with boats leaving every 20 minutes. There are shuttle buses to the other parks, but those can be time-consuming. One thing to keep in mind is that rooms at the Swan are currently being renovated and some roof work is being done. We did hear them power-washing the roof on the day we left starting at about 9 am, but overall noise was not an issue

"STAY AWAY - BED BUGS Hidden fees, dishonest management, ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE"

We stayed in this resort last weekend and our bed was ABSOLUTELY INFESTED with bed bugs. When I contacted management they said they'd send cleaning staff THE NEXT DAY to change our sheets. And then when we checked out we were charged $200 in hidden resort fees (100/day!!!! we were told 40/day on check in!!!) and an EXTRA 40$ was charged because WE USED THE POOL after check out - that's right, we paid a $100 resort fee daily (not disclosed on the website) and then after we checked out, used the pool, I told the front desk staff on our way out to say THANK YOU and they said oh we have to charge you a $40 GUEST FEE for using the pool until NOON the DAY YOU CHECK OUT! (we checked out at 11a! used the pool for one hour!). And then we were also charged $40 in parking fees EVEN THOUGH WE DIDNT HAVE A CAR and ubered to the hotel from the airport. Please just stay somewhere else. No wonder Disney wants nothing to do with them.

Horrible. Smell of pot was overwhelming. Instead of removing the persons smoking from the property they made me pack all my stuff up at 11:00 and move rooms. When I say the smell was horrible think burning eyes, barely able to breathe because of allergies, clothes smelled like pot. If you have young children you’d have to explain why everything smells and why people are yelling on the balcony underneath you while they’re high. This is every single time I come to this hotel. No offer of any sort of compensation either. I’m a lifetime platinum member and this is absolutely one of the worst properties. Spend the money and stay somewhere better that doesn’t expose your kids to tons of pot smoking and idiots. Terrible.

The Swan is one of my favorite Disney hotels. The location is fabulous, the pool is great, and you get the deluxe benefits at a much lower price. Despite booking on Marriott points, Jessica at the front desk was able to upgrade us to a deluxe corner room with resort views. The hotel was pretty quiet, but the upgrade was still unexpected and much appreciated. Thank you, Jessica!
