"Previous stays were satisfactory, BUT NEVER AGAIN!! Dishonest staff and deteriorating facilities and rooms."

My husband and I stayed here for one night pre-cruise, along with our sister and brother-in-law. We've stayed here 4 times previously, and though it's not fancy, the accommodations have generally been satisfactory in the past, and the proximity to the cruise port is decent. We did notice on this occasion that even though renovations are underway (still) the general cleanliness and upkeep has definitely gone downhill. Now for the Good, the Bad, and Ugly: The Good - We booked the stay and cruise package, and the shuttle to and from the airport was easy and convenient, and the dispatch was accommodating for our flight delay into MCO airport. The shuttle from the hotel to the cruise port was quite delayed, but we made do. The BAD - we were booked into an "accessible room", which in theory it was, given that the shower was a roll-in shower and there were support bars for the toilet. The door into the room however was VERY hard to maneuver open and closed, possibly with swelling due to humidity - we had to literally reef on it from inside to open, and body check it to close. Even more surprising was the location of this accessible room.... literally at the VERY farthest point on the property from where we checked in, and the entire path lined with uneven bricks and cobblestones - teeth rattling on wheels and terrible trip hazards! - that made absolutely no sense!! (The attached screengrab shows the check-in area and the green dotted path to the room we were given) The UGLY - As I mentioned, we we stayed at this property with sister and brother-in-law (they had their own room), and the morning we checked out, she inadvertently left her headphones in the room. She needs them for sleeping, and it's most likely that they fell in beside the bed or against the headboard. As soon as they realized this after checking out, my brother-in-law contacted the hotel via email, and didn't hear back at all, then tried again a couple of days later and was told "no headphones were turned in". They aren't small wireless earpods that can get lost in the sheets, they are LARGE padded Bose over the head and over the ear type that weigh more than a pound, and quite valuable. Obviously you have dishonest housekeeping staff, or management, or both. Yes, that is a flat out accusation, and I am thoroughly disgusted by this experience. To summarize, our previous stays were satisfactory, but due to the disappointing room location, lack of well functioning room basic structure, and lack of integrity on the part of the staff during our most recent stay, we will NEVER stay at this property again... and we will make sure to share our experience at every opportunity. My next review will be posted on Cruise Critic, and then on the Radisson main social media pages.

"Last stay was the Last Stay"

We have stayed at this resort 3 times previously prior to cruising. These previous stays have generally been pretty good. This time though, my wife inadvertently left her $400+ Bose noise cancelling headphones in the room. These headphone were black and over the ear type and not small, easily overlooked earbuds. These headphones are absolutely required by my wife to get a decent nights sleep and we expect that they likely fell between the bed and the wall, where we could not see them. We contacted the Radisson by email as soon as we were able and asked if they had been turned in by housekeeping. No response. After further prompting, we were advised by email that no such headphones "had been turned in". We followed up again two days later and until now have received no response at all (12 days later). Ended up buying another pair at our first cruise stop at a considerably higher price ($574). Hmmm... $400 + headphones and the response is simply "they weren't turned in"?? What a convenient - I don't want to be bothered with this - go away response. "Hey housekeeping, its me Dave at the front desk, anyone turn in an expensive set of Bose headphones? No? Ok that's good enough for me (because surely they would not be a particularly coveted item). Did Radisson even bother asking housekeeping who actually cleaned the room that day after we left? Did they then investigate any further with the person who cleaned the room? Even just ask? Or did they consider giving the trite response: "none were turned in" to be good enough to make us go away? Just because they were not turned in does not mean that they were not discovered and then pocketed. As a business owner myself, I would want to know if my staff were honest or not. This would be doubly so for housekeeping roles. Yes we left the headphones there and that is on us to be sure, but the one line response from the Radisson was simply unacceptable. Sorry that was the last stay for us.

The staff is amazing Vanessa and Jabba took really good care of us. They are true professionals. I would recommend the services of the Raddison to everyone. They have newly renovated rooms, bars (if you drink), pools that are open in January! This is our 2nd time using them and will be back.

"Terrible!"
TripAdvisor user rating 1.0 out of 5
Reviewed December 29, 2024 NEW
We just checked in before our NYE cruise. This hotel was recommended by the travel agent, who must be getting a high commission as this hotel is the pits. Funny that all of the great reviews were mostly written by people with only 1 review....which might be new/false accounts because I cannot figure out why anyone would give this dump a 5 star review. Yes, the pool looks great, but the check in was terrible. Lines were 50 minutes long and the front desk people were rude. Just handing out maps and telling people to figure it out. No parking was available at the hotel, although we were charged for it. We parked at another hotel and had to pay for parking there then an Uber to our hotel. The room had an animal in it before our check in because there was pet hair everywhere, and our allergies were out of control. We asked if we could cancel our reservation and go someplace else, and the person on the phone said we would still be charged the full amount as we did not give 48 hours notice. We may still go someplace else....that is how bad this hotel is.
