"Great stay/location in downtown Toronto"

This was a lovely hotel in downtown Toronto. The location is very convenient to the Rodger's center and CN tower. The staff was most helpful and kind. Sherine from the concierge desk was most helpful in arranging my transportation to and from the airport and gave great advice on timing of when to leave for the Airport . Also I needed to stow my luggage for a few hours after checking out and this was a simple process with great help from the bellman as well. We were in town for the Taylor Swift concert and the hotel handled the crowds and increased business with great ease. I would highly recommend this location for a stay in Toronto

"Stay during special event Taylor Swift"

We had booked a hotel room here about a year ago to stay after the Taylor Swift concert. The room was a double queen high floor lake view. I have stayed in this type of room before multiple times at IHG Toronto and paid less than $400 for the night. Of course during the TS event I did not pay that price and paid about 5 times that price. I would have expected a more polished experience considering the special pricing especially when I found out the occupancy rate was less than 60%. We had our hotel booked for almost a year and during that time the price was reduced (not by a lot) and the hotel honoured the new price the first time it happened but not the next time. The front desk offered three lounge passes to accommodate for that and we were happy with the gesture. Our room was fine, it was clean, everything worked, and the view was great. We dined using Azure, room service, and the Club Lounge. We were happy with the food but for one of the listed it was poor service. Food selection in the lounge was great eggs,bacon,sausage, French toast, cereal, smoked salmon, cheese, juice, and Starbucks coffee. During our stay a staff member asked us politely if we had paid a lot for the room to which I said yes but thought it was in poor taste to ask. I am aware that hotel workers are rallying for higher wages during special events so perhaps that’s why they asked. I want to give a four but I think the service fell short given they were not at capacity and we paid special event pricing. In my opinion I would’ve expected special event service. 3.75/5

We enjoyed a 5 night stay in the Intercontinental. Our Junior Suite was very comfortable and provided us with a fantastic view of the CN Tower. The hotel is well located and the valet service made parking easy. All staff were very polite and helpful. Would recommend.

Just stayed for a one night trip to Toronto. Location is great - right beside the CN tower, Rogers Center and Aquarium. The staff in all areas were great - front desk was helpful, valet service was smooth, bag storage attendants were very nice, concierge was very helpful in booking a cab for us. The room was nice - nothing special but clean and well kept. View of the lake and CN tower from the 23rd floor was worth it, especially for our 6 year old son. Woke up near midnight to watch the tower lights glow. Would stay there again!

We were visiting from Ireland for a few days ..we found the Bar Staff in the Intercontinental Hotel to be exceptionally helpful, pleasant, professional and friendly. In particular we would like to commend and thank Peter, William and all the other staff who went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and more than welcome. We would definitely return for more of this excellent hospitality
