Not my first time here. Rooms and restaurant are good. Location is good. The hotel has added in an amenity fee. Like airlines and fuel surcharges I find this a borderline unethical move. Money going to the hotel is the room charge. Full stop. I don’t like a hotel that tries to use hidden items to reduce the posted rate. I stayed at an Intercontinental in New York the previous week and they had no hidden charges. So while I liked the hotel it will impact my decision on future stays.

We typically stay elsewhere when in downtown Toronto, but decided to give the Intercontinental another try after a long hiatus. We were checked in by Ardiz, who provided brilliant customer service in a warm and friendly manner. The room was clean and spacious. The lounge offerings satisfied all of us with higher than expected quality. An excellent stay- we will definitely be back.

I went to this hotel with my family of 5. The food was amazing there. Service is incredible, everything is very fast. We went to the VIP lounge and one lady stood out, Malak. She was always laughing with my kids doing us services and giving us extra things. She was simply the best. Thank you Malak!

"A Truly Exceptional Start to Our Stay"
TripAdvisor user rating 5.0 out of 5
Reviewed December 19, 2024 NEW
In the lead-up to our visit, I reached out to the hotel to explain our son’s condition. He often requires a wheelchair to manage fatigue, and we requested that our two rooms be close together so he could comfortably walk between them if needed. Michelle from Concierge responded promptly and warmly, providing us with helpful recommendations for things to do and see in Toronto. During check-in, Ardiz was absolutely wonderful. She paid such kind attention to our son, gifting him a charming Canadian Moose toy, and thoroughly explained the check-in process. To our surprise and delight, she informed us of a generous room upgrade to better accommodate our son’s mobility needs. This gesture truly touched us, as it showed the team had taken the time to read and fully understand our situation. To make our arrival even more special, we walked into our room to find a thoughtful surprise—two large buckets of freshly made popcorn, three bowls of assorted lollies, four cans of different soft drinks, and a heartwarming handwritten note addressed to our son, wishing him an amazing stay in Toronto. Although we’ve only just checked in, it’s already clear that this stay will be something truly memorable. The level of care, kindness, and attention to detail we’ve experienced from the team so far has been extraordinary. Thank you, InterContinental Toronto Centre, for starting our visit in such a meaningful and special way.
