The hotel is aging. While staying there, it transitioned to a new owner. Hopefully they will pour some money into it. It is slated as a Resort, so it has resort fees. Outside of a food court and hotel pool, I am not sure why I was charged a resort fee. Didn't really see resort offerings to justify the additional $30 a day. Check in process is by computer. Very impersonal and no one could be found at the front desk. The pool in the picture is the highlight of the place everything else is ok.

I was concerned after reading so many terrible reviews, but went ahead with my reservation and was not dissatisfied. The building is a tad older and if you were looking for flaws, you could probably find some, but we weren’t. Our room and anywhere onsite we went was nice and clean. The location was great, we slept great, and the room attendants did a fantastic job. We had no trouble at all during our stay, and I would likely stay again. As we were leaving, it looked like they were unloading all new game room equipment, so suspect an upgrade is in progress as well.

Our club, the Fla Antique Bucket brigade hosted the national convention of SPAAMFAA there from March 4-8. Shakeita and Lava were excellent, they went above and beyond all expectations. The convention staff assigned to us were great. Anything we asked for they were able to work things out for us. No complaints from our guests who attended our meeting

"resort" needs to have some updates. the lobby has been done but the pool and rest of this Hotel needs TLC. It's looking dated. also it could be cleaner, as well. Out door pool needs cleaning. the restaurant needs some big plants to make it more inviting and menu should be better and not so costly. remember there is a Walmart right across the street. This could be a great place.

Dirty shower, mold around sink & stinky mildew in fridge with spilled alcohol inside, AC issues, front desk did nothing about the unclean room. Breakfast was below expectations, but store workers where I’d buy drinks were very kind and the store stock was well maintained! 2 elevators worked some of the time, emergency stair doors crash shut, very dated and worn carpet and paint in hallways.
