Our first time staying on site at Disney and it did not disappoint. We were in awe as soon as we drove past the hotel sign. Everything was fantastic. The cast members and all staff were friendly and so helpful. The pool was fantastic, my child’s favourite part. Lifeguards made sure everyone was safe. The food court was brilliant such a wide variety. The hotel was so clean walking around. It was so peaceful walking around too. We have already booked for this year coming, so excited . Turned us into on site Disney stayers now. The boat to Disney springs is a brilliant addition. The bar is great for a relaxing drink after a busy day. Great on site shop

We once again continued our tradition of exploring the Port of Orleans resorts; when visiting Orlando in December. We usually start at the French Quarter, with its Mardi Gras themed Xmas splendor; and then enjoy the more laid-back, stylized atmosphere of Riverside. A boat trip, to & from Disney Springs, is always a pleasant addendum to the experience; along with an occasional Mickey's premium ice-cream bar. Roaming the Disney resorts, festooned in their holiday regalia; continues to be a wonderful way to begin immersing into the holiday season. And this resort complex, is one of our favorites. It may be a constructed and idealized environment; but often times a trip (or several) into the "Disney bubble", can be a very enjoyable retreat.

Clean, quiet, convenient hotel for Disney trip. Food court adequate. Staff very nice. Buses to parks often, clean, kind drivers. Apparent that grounds crew work hard to keep property beautiful. Pools are warm and clean. We stayed here twice. Last visit was pre Covid and I felt more magic here but I would still recommend it.

"Beautiful grounds quiet hotel, Theme parks overcrowded"

We stayed for 4 nights over New Years at this resort. Riverside is a lovely, quiet, and relaxed resort. Ol' Man Island pool was heated and fun, chairs get taken right away though. You can take a boat to Disney Springs which is great, but after 8 pm the boats split btwn French Quarter and Riverside so be prepared to wait for a boat for a while. They don't run as often. We were in building 25 Alligator Bayou which is close to the West Depot shuttle bus. West Depot you are the first pickup so you will get a seat on the bus to the theme parks and the first drop off when you return to Riverside after a long day of walking miles and miles at the time parks. Parking is complimentary at Disney resorts if you drove to Disney. We would stay here again if we were to go back to Disney. Unfortunately, the crowds and the fact you have to pay extra for Lightning Lane passes on top of the already expensive theme parks tickets to avoid waiting in a 120 min line jaded our experience. We did come here at one of the busiest times of the year and had a great time, but it's not what it used to be like in the 80s and 90s. The amount of people in the parks makes it unenjoyable.

Love this resort, such a beautiful layout. We enjoyed our stay here! Staff always provided excellent service. We were there during a very busy time over the holidays and they did great! Everything was very clean and well kept. We will be back!
