Justin was amazing at the front desk to help get 2 extra rooms last minute for my fiancé’s mom and friend! The rooms were clean and comfortable. The outside of the buildings might look old but the rooms are very clean. Highly recommend staying there and super close to Seaward.

I had to make a quick turn around trip to San Diego from Arizona with a friend and our 2 kids. I found this hotel online and it was close to where we needed to be, offered hot breakfast, and seemed clean and spacious. I booked directly through the hotel website. No 3rd party. I booked the 2 queen bed with sofa bed deluxe room. Whennwe showed up at 5:30pm to check in we were given a room with no sofa bed. I called and asked about this and was told they didn't have any of the 2 queen room with a sofa available. I then asked if this was still considered a deluxe room because that's what I paid for. She said yes and offered to take off the $20 nightly parking for the inconvenience. Something I found out later never happened. When we walked up to our room we noticed the room right next door to us had 2 Queens and a sofa like I was supposed to get. My teenage son didn't want to share a bed with his mom and that's what we were forced to do because the front office basically lied to me. I'd also like to note that that room next to us remained vacant the entire time we stayed. My next issue happened in the morning. We noticed the map we were given didnt have any info about the hot breakfast. So, we called down to the office to get the breakfast information. The phone rang so much that it kicked me to a busy signal 4x. Finally, I sent my son down to inquire and he was told they don't offer hot breakfast. That is totally misleading information since it is listed on the website under hotel amenities. As a mom traveling with 2 kids this was a major selling point and I would have NEVER booked here had I known the info online was wrong. My third problem happened when I asked about check out and the late check out options. The maps that get handed to all your customers says check out is at 12. I attempted to call down to the office about 5x, again having it ring so long that it kicked me to a busy signal each time. I went down to the office to get the info I wanted and to hopefully get a late check out since we were all a little beat from the turn around trip. The girl told me the best she could do was 11:30. I told her the maps say check out is 12 and even showed her the map, from the stack of maps she had on the counter that she hands out to everyone. She shrugged me off and pointed to a sign in the lobby with a paper taped over the original plaque saying check out is 11am. After much discussion, and arguing, with her about how its not my problem that the information they give their customers is wrong and she needs to honor what was given to me she basically told me that if I was still in the room after 11:30, I would be charged a second day automatically. She had ZERO care to make me, a paying customer, happy at all. I wasnt even in the hotel for a full 24hours anyway. She had a nasty attitude to every person she was interacting with and just kept saying that she wasnt the manager and they were off for the weekend. She did provide me a card with the managers email, which I did send an email to with no response. Finally, when I went to check out, at 11:30am, and was given my receipt, I saw that the oarking charhe wasnt removed. When I brought this up the girl again said that this wasnt her problem and that I could contact the manager on Monday. This is totally unacceptable customer service and not the way anyone should be running a business at all. All in all, I am not at all happy with my stay and very disappointed that no attempts were made to remedy anything they did wrong. They also need to update the website and maps so they don't continue to mislead customers. I look forward to a response, but after everything I have seen from this company I will not hold my breath.

Evacuating from the LA wild fires was a stressful event, but checking into the Wyndham Gardens San Diego turned it into a pleasant and unexpected getaway. The room was very clean with all of the necessary amenities and more. Panera Bread right outside my door- yummy! The bedding and pillows created the best environment for a sound night’s sleep. I felt very safe and welcomed by the front desk staff who were all courteous and thoughtful to my needs. I really appreciate how informative they were about all of the restaurants and stores around the property. (Shout-out to Perla, Maria and Andria). During my stay I had the best housekeeping staff, keeping my room clean and stocked with towels and supplies. I was impressed with how friendly and helpful the housekeeping and janitorial staff are. (Shout-out to Rosemary and the other staff). When it was time to check out, I was a bit anxious to return to LA, so anxious that I left my iPad in the room that I was staying in. I drove back to the Wyndham with emotions at a level 10 panicked about leaving my iPad in the hotel room. Luckily, Sandy was working the front desk! Sandy had a responsibility to collect the necessary information from me for security purposes and all I wanted was my I-pad. With professionalism and concern, Sandy was direct yet still courteous bringing my emotions down to a level 2. I was very grateful to find my iPad in the room where I left it. Thank you Sandy! My experience at the Wyndham Garden SD was great and I would definitely stay there again when in San Diego.

I stayed there three different nights and two times the woman at the desk was Marina. She could not have been more helpful or nice. The hotel is extremely lucky to have employees like her. The room was nice and clean comfortable shower had plenty of water pressure more than enough towels and parking was nice and easy. I would clearly stay here again.

Best hotel for the $$ in this area. Hotel is a gated compound with security in the parking lots all night . Front desk employees are very helpful . Perla was especially helpful. Rooms are nice. There is a chain restaurant within the gated compound. It’s very convenient.
